"I think so," she answers, wiping her brow. She doesn't bother to wipe the dirt off her uniform, which was ripped and muddy. The girl looks up at the sky with the boiling hot sun beating down. She sighs. "We did it."
She grinned. “Yeah, we did it.” She whispered and sighed relieved. “Finally.” She says looking at her, eyes shining. She didn’t know how to explain what she felt about all of this, she was finally free and that made her feel extremely happy but terrified at the same time.
Ellie nods and her vision gets blurry. She had taken up a lot of energy running. "Well lets go. They'll catch up any minute." She doesn't wait for her response as she starts to walk on the thorn bush infested woods.
Ivy nods agreeing and follows her, looking at the trees. "Hey, are you feeling alright?" She asks when she notices her paleness and weekeness.
Ellie nods. "Yeah," she lies, walking a bit faster. "Come on, we don't want to get caught." She pushes through the woods, thrones scraping her legs and waist through the holes of her uniform. She wipes her faces to clear the sweat, but it is quickly replaced from the heat of the sun.
"Right..." Ivy said silently. She tried to ignore how much one of her wounds was bleeding, it didn't hurt much but it didn't look good. They kept walking quickly and getting deeper and deeper into the forest. Ivy wondered if Ellie was just as confused as she was.
Ellie sighs again, her anxiety currently pushed down by the adrenaline. she tries to walk quietly through the forest,, and partly succeeds, making little noise. He thoughts go back to her cabin mates, who would...well, who knew how they would react?
Ivy brushes her hair off her shoulders and tucks it behind her ears. She was thinking of all her poor 'friends' she had made in camp and how they might torture them thinking they knew something and that thought made her shiver.
Ellie stops walking after a few miles, too tired to walk another step. She collapses on her hands and knees, falling to the ground. She winces as her hands dig into the sharp thrones. She feels her eyes close, and mind go blank. The girl passes out, sweaty and tired. She had overworked herself too the point of unconiousness.
Ivy catches her. "Woah Ellie!" She said trying to wake her up, she was still breathing so Ivy stayed calmed, she carried her to a small cave and laid her down gently. Ivy had seen a small lake near. "I'll be back." She whispered though she knew she couldn't hear her.
Ellie lays there, head dirty with the rest of her body. Her arm in crooked, her her leg laying on a sharp rock so it's probably was sprained. She doesn't dream strangly. She usually does.
Ivy gets to the lake and she wished she had a container or something to take water with her, she starts looking around trying to find something useful.
The dreams, They came. More like nightmares really, as they filled her mind with evil images, of things I wouldn't dare to describe. She cries out for help, yet none came. She wakes in a cold sweat, terrified.
Ivy finds something finally, she takes some water and walks back to the cave. She sits down next to Ellie who was having nightmares. “Hey Ellie, wake up.” She whispered as she shook her.
Ellie's eyes shoot open and she starts shaking. The girl takes the water and she gulps half of it down. "Sorry," she whispers, trembling. "I was thirsty."
Ivy squeezes her hand. “It’s fine.” She assures her. “I can go for more later.” She tells her and examined her face trying to figure out what was happening to her. “Nightmares?” She wondered.

Ellie looks down and nods. "Yeah. I get them a lot. I assume everyone at camp does, cause, well, you know," she shrugs. "Trauma." Eliana gives her a grim smile. The small girl had been through much, as had everyone at Fortis.
Ivy nods. “Yeah... I guess.” She answered, yet Ivy didn’t had nightmares that often. She hands her the water. “Drink more.” She tells her. “You’ll feel better.” She promised.
Ellie nods and takes the cup from her hands carefully. The cool wind kissed her pale skin, and she brings her parched lips to the jug. The girl- not yet a woman- gulps it down thirstily. "You," she rasps, and clear her throat. "You should drink too." Ellie was still dehydrated, but not as much as Ivy must have been. Neither of them had had anything to drink for hours. She hands the jug to her and shakily stands up, leaning against a tall oak. She runs her hands along the bark and grips the trunk to keep from falling. "I'm okay," she whispers, mostly to herself. I'm safe. But that was a lie, and she knew it.
Ivy takes the jug from her shaky hands and brings her to her dry mouth and takes a small sip, the water felt cold compare to her steaming mouth and throat, she inmediatly drank more, she hadn't realize how much she needed it, she hadn't realize how thirsty she was. She was so relieved and thankful about the water that she hadn't realized that Ellie had stood up, If she had noticed, she would have probably stop her.
Ellie stands shakily. She leans on a tree, tired and hungry. "We actually did it,", she says, smiling a bit. " Wow." she allows one tear to fall, down her muddy cheek, creating a line of clearness. She laughs softly
Ivy looked up at Ellie and half smiled. "Yeah... we did." She comfirmed and brought the jug back to her lips to take one last long sip. She placed the jug on the floor and sat down, exhausted. She hadn't slept for days now.
Ellie pulls back her hair, A strand loose. She sighs and takes one last sip of water before screwing the top on. "Which direction?" she asks aloud
Ivy’s hair was messy and tangled, but she didn’t care. Ivy shrugged. Her mind had went completely blank and everything around her was spinning, her sight was blurry too. “I...”
Ellie puts a hand on her shoulder. "Need any water?" she asks, carefully sitting Ivy down. "Are you okay?" She says gently. The girl gives her the water jug.
She hesitated and placed her hands below her legs trying to stop them from shaking. “No, no... I’m fine.” She tells her. “I just a bit dizzy.”
Ellie nods. "Sit," she orders. Ellie knew they were both weak, and needed to rest. "We'll leave in the morning."
Ivy looked at her. “Are you sure?” She asked tilting her head to the side slightly. “Do you think it’s safe?” She asked again.
"We're gonna exhaust ourselves to death if we go any further," she insists. Evie sets up some cots with leaves. *Lay down " she says.
Ivy didn’t argued and sat down, she knew it was true. She would probably faint if they kept going. Ivy hesitating laid down and sighed. Her eyelids felt so heavy.
Evie forced herself to stay awake as someone needs to,keep watch. She leans up against a tree, yawning.
The night was cold but just before Ivy could stop herself, she felt asleep deeply. Her body numb, she felt like her soul was floating on top of her body.
Evie plays with, her brown hair, looking over at the other girl. She tilts her head, curious. "Hmm," she says, nodding off
Ivy was having one of those desperate, awful dreams. The ones when you can’t move, punch or talk.
Four hours passed and Ivy woke up, the sun was just coming out. She looked around looking for Ellie, she found her sleeping near a tree.
She smiled softly and stood up. “C’mon, we need to keep going.” She said walking to Ellie and stretching out her hand to help her up.
Ellie nods and accepts UT, pulling herswlf up. Accidentally, she pulls herself too, close and their noses touch.
