Because of the interest in Herland during last month's voting, it will be April's group read! However, because it's a pretty short book, if anyone would be interested in supplementing next month's reading with another short read (an article, essay, short story, etc., ideally related to a theme from Herland), I think that could be fun! Let me know if you have any ideas.

Also, share your nominations for May's group read here!

If anyone was in the mood for something lighter, I'd recommend Crazy Stupid Bromance. It's a contemporary romance, but the FMC is vegetarian and owns a cat cafe, so I was obsessed when I read it lmao. The romance genre has a surprising amount of vegetarian heroes + heroines, it's actually really refreshing!

Another book I'm looking forward to reading is The Tourist Trail, which is "a literary thriller about endangered species in the world's most remote areas, and those who put their lives on the line to protect them."

Brilliant! I'll get myself a copy of Herland :-)

Oh, another book that might be of interest is We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves by Karen Joy Fowler - I haven't read it yet, but it apparently has an animal rights message. Based on some reviews I've read, it sounds very interesting!
