Once I let my sister borrow my book and I walked into her room and saw it open and facedown on her table bending the spine. I got mad and told her to use a bookmark then I saw her dog-ear the page. Let's just saw I'm never letting her borrow my books anymore.

I also absolutely HATE it when people don't use a book mark and bend the corner or flip it upside down it breaks my heart every-time.

but sometimes the story would look realy... "what was all this for?" if the MC doesn't die.. I don't say I like it when it happens, but when I imagine all the books I love, whithout my fav character's death, they seem really.. strange.. and not in a good way. I just probably tend to like more tragic stories

that's okay. it took me a while to understand what they were, too. They're sort of like common things that you see that annoy you. A lot of common ones that don't have to do with books are cracking knuckles and chewing loudly

Ok thank you and for me I HATE NOISES, MY SIS PLAYING AND LOT

-when a character is killed (a good one)
-cliffhangers (yet I also love them)
-when a book doesn't come out for another year
-putting a hold on a book and having to wait for a longgggg time
-the movies(always so bad, except for Twilight movies, in my opinion)
-new books (can't open the pages all the way ugh)
-when you ship two characters who don't love each other in the series (it sucks)

Right?! It totally sucks!!! But at the same time, it's a good thing cause then the book is more realistic kinda. Not everything is cupcakes and rainbows, if you get what I mean.

Yeah that's really true it just sucks when all your favorites die

this might sound weird...but one of my bookish pet peeves is when people who read in their head mouth the world they are reading...it ticks me off for some reason...

That's me too. Like there's no reason it should bug me but it just does.

- Bad translations that don't quite grasp the feeling of the original work
- Series that have been finished, but the translations haven't and it's been so long that it's clear the publishers aren't going to translate them

oh i hate when people rainbow order their shelves because your separating the series and the authors AND the sizes. don’t get me wrong it looks pretty and you can do it, it just bothers me

I agree, it looks cool, but the sizes r all different and the authors, And the series are separated

You're allowed to organize your books however you like, some people don't care about separating series and sizes.
I change my bookshelves often, and I've had them in rainbow order and it's super pretty.

An actual bookish pet peeve to me would be something like the covers changing mid-series. That's awful cause then you either your books are unmatched or you are forced to buy them all again.

i just hate it when I start reading an amazing series and find out all the books haven't come out...patience is a virtue which I obviously don't possess thus it is painfully agonising for me to wait an entire year(at the least)for the new book to come out...but most of the time the wait is worth it!!

It bothered me that the library clockwork angel cover was backwards... So I decided to fix it. (Not a bad one)
I HATE FOOD INSIDE BOOKS! Like NO! especially library. Or like today I FOUND DRIED BLOOD INSIDE THE BOOK LIKE NOOOO PLEASE NOOOO!!!! One of the things I don't like about going to the library for you find things in books and sometimes they make you feel 🤢Ahaha I don't like when someone writes in the books. When I got the city of fallen angels book there were messages written on the page (That was kinda distracting)... Im trying to think what else... 🤔🤔 WHEN SOMEONE SPOILS THE BOOK ORRRR WHEN THEY MAKE FUN OF YOU FOR READING THAT BOOK! Oh and what wrinkles my skirts is when they MAKE FUN OF YOUR BOOK CRUSH!!!! (This could all change in many many years)

i can relate...i hate that...once i read a book series and there were only two books out...i read both of them before i realized the was a third one yet to come out...now i don't remember what it was...

omg same...i hate being make fun of for my book crushes...

oh i hate it when the author changes publishers and then you have the same series but the books are slightly different sizes or the covers all really similar but one. and when people write in books. or when you cry and it leaves tear marks (Allegiant has some). or when you loose your dust jacket so you have one book without one. or when they use a different font on one books spine but the others are all same. or when you read a good book and you learn the series isn’t complete so you have to wait two years for the next one and by the time it comes out you can’t remember what happened so you have to reread the first one. or when you find spoilers. or there isn’t any fan art. ok i’ll stop, i need to calm down. this is part of my ocd

Me too....Movie references on covers definitely ruin a book. I never purchase books with movie covers.
