Eden (edenwithabook) | 2 comments Has anyone been watching The Irregulars show on Netflix? I've only watched three episodes so far and just seems like a Supernatural/YA take on Sherlock Holmes, however Sherlock hasn't actually shown up yet.

I have added this series to my To Watch list. As someone who loves detective fiction as well as horror and supernatural, this sounds very interesting to me.

Well, it has been already cancelled, so you'll have only one season to watch

K.L. Mitchell | 5 comments I've watched the first few-odd episodes. I rather like the stories, and the "Irregulars" are an interesting bunch, but I'm not terribly fond of their approach to Watson. Also, the whole Leopold thing: if a literal prince, especially an ill one, disappeared from the palace overnight, I'd think they'd pretty much be turning the country upside-down looking for him, but I haven't really seen that be the case.

Anyway, I need to sit down & watch the rest. At least I want to see how the main story arc plays out.

Eden (edenwithabook) | 2 comments I finished watching the whole series a while ago and although I was a bit unsure to start with, I actually really liked it towards the end. Really disappointed it hasn't been renewed for a second season :(

Barbara | 358 comments Also just found out that in the early 80s, a few years before the Granada Sherlock Holmes series, there was a British TV series called "The Baker Street Boys" about a Victorian London gang of street kids - the Irregulars I assume - who help out a detective named Sherlock Holmes. I think Holmes was only heard in voice over.
