It didn't change my mind, but now at least I can honestly say I've read it.

Mauro Sala (salamaro) | 35 comments I am finishing - hopefully today! - Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. It is indeed a very good book even if the family saga part is way more interesting than the story of the main character, in my opinion. Still it is a great read.
Next in my reading list: In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado.

message 31: by Mauro (last edited Apr 22, 2021 03:25AM) (new)

Mauro Sala (salamaro) | 35 comments I've finished Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. I liked it, quite a lot actually, even if in the end it is not really the story of an intersex person.
And I have just started In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado and the first impression is extremely positive.

Bill | 465 comments Eugene wrote: "I've just started Last Call: A True Story of Love, Lust, and Murder in Queer New York by Elon Green."

I'm looking forward to reading this too; having been there a few times way back when.

Mauro Sala (salamaro) | 35 comments I have finished In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado. Quite a read.
Now something totally different: Await Your Reply by Dan Chaon. A book I bought based on a mention in a Goodreads review of The Sluts. So far so good.

message 37: by John (new)

John My review of the novel High as the Waters Rise, which may... or may not, be LGBT?

message 38: by Eugene (new)

Eugene Galt (eugenegalt) | 286 comments The Science of Sci-Fi: From Warp Speed to Interstellar Travel by Erin Macdonald. It's starting slowly for me, since it presupposes that the reader has no physics background.

message 40: by Tim (new)

Tim | 152 comments I've been wrapped up in Thinking, Fast and Slow this month, a group read for work. I am hoping to finish in the next couple days.

I finished the well-written, well-researched Trans Medicine: The Emergence and Practice of Treating Gender earlier this month. My review.
