Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

This author has apparently published under two names: Deborah Copaken and Deborah Copaken Kogan. Probably one was her maiden name and one her married name. If so, she's back to her maiden name, because her latest book, Ladyparts: A Memoir, which comes out next August, uses that. The GR database treats her as two separate people, but Amazon treats her as the same author.

I know that there has been some discussion recently about how to handle things when an author has changed his/her name, but I didn't follow that discussion closely. I did combine a couple of editions in different languages, but I'm not comfortable changing author without really understanding the rules.

Could one of you take a look at these two authors and fix or merge them as appropriate? Thanks.

Since she is a Goodreads author, it is possible that she is deliberately using different author profiles. She would have to ask for the profiles to be combined if that is what she wants.

I'm not sure she is aware that there are two profiles. Only one of them has been claimed.
