The way she made the Syren a possessing wraith was cool.

Syrah was super cool. And did anyone else think that Septimus might finally have found someone he likes? She's still emotionally about his age, because of the Syren, she didn't really age the 500 years.

I do!!!! I think Syrah's really pretty!!!!! But I hated "the Syren" or whatever you want to call it.

Yeah. Syrah was scarily bony, though. I know a girl who looks like that.

Really. But for when I look at her picture when it's there in each chapter I think that she and Septimus would look good together. Like Jenna and Beetle, and Nicko and Snorri.

Whoah! I just realized Syrah and Septimus are the same age! Because Sep was with Marcellus 500 years ago... and Syrah came to the Syren's island 500 years ago. So they're both around 500.

While still having the emotional and physical maturity of being 12 or 13!

Finnaly finished it, seemed different 2 me then other books....maybe just because i haven't read the other books in over a year. I ended up loving it at the end.

I think it seems different because Sep's growing up. For instance, the thing with Syrah. What else has he ever gotten that worked up about?

Actually, they aren't the same age. Syrah is 19 "My name is Syrah Syarah. I am ninetten years old. I was the ExtraOrdinary apprentice to Julius Pike. I am Syrah Syarah. I am Syrah Syarah."

And Jenna is 12 and a half but Septimus is either 12 and a half or 13 because of the half of a year he sent in Marcellus's time/ the 2 days in his time.

I think Syrah is dead because maybe The Syren got captured but she was not released. Also, maybe there was another step to de activating the possesion because she slept on...and on...and on... Also, She looked so thin under the blanket, amost translucent.
