I'm Kristen, and I teach high school English classes (and have also taught middle school and different subjects, too... Latin and social studies) so in addition to reading quite a bit of YA, I enjoy reading literary and historical fiction, but I read a lot of different things.

A favorite fantasy author is hard to pick. I always loved C.S. Lewis, but I think recently it's become Ursula Le Guin.

Yes, Roth wrote the Divergent Trilogy. I've never heard of Ursula Le Guin. I did just look her up and I found a wonderful book (Very Far Away from Anywhere Else) that I am definitely going to make time to read.

I also have another book recommendation. I think you would really like Heartless by Marissa Meyer. If you already haven't checked it out.

My name is Monica. My favorite genre is fantasy (especially high fantasy), but I love to read any genre. I do have a hard time getting through romance books though. I have a Biological Science degree and often enjoy science books as well.

My favorite fantasy book that I've read recently would be "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. My favorite science book would be "I Contain Multitudes: The Microbes Within Us and a Grander View of Life" by Ed Yong. It's nice to meet everyone!

I looked up a few horror books that aren't really scary. If you don't like them I'll try looking for a different genre then.

Hi everyone! Thanks for inviting me to this group! My name is Cristina, and I spend the vast majority of my free time reading. I love dark themes, especially Stephen King's work, though I do branch out and give just about every genre a shot.

Thanks!! Personally, I've been getting into doodling on procreate as I was trained using the Adobe programs in college. I'm very into cutesy motivational posts. I post a lot on my design account on insta @miscbydarrian—where I'll be starting to merge my love for books & design finally!
