I really enjoyed the punctuation discussion in Chapter 7, particularly the section about the em dash (the dinner fork) and the en dash (the salad fork) and their various uses. I know editors who feel very strongly about using these particular punctuation marks perfectly correctly, but I feel like the lay public doesn't know the difference and couldn't care less. What are your thoughts?
