Scales the shade of peaches and nectar with black splotches darted along crawled out of the dark. Glittering, grey-brown eyes searched the area before the dragon stood up, his four wings buzzing.
Tyson was a HiveWing. He came here almost everyday, just to get away from everything. Mostly his mother. Wrapped around his lower neck, practically on his torso, was a fanny pack. Inside it was an inhaler and several pills in different containers.
The 12 year old dragon opened it, rummaging through the items before grabbing the inhaler and taking a few puffs. Then he put it away and settled himself in front of the building on a bench, his talons flat down. Tyson twitched, looking down at where he was sitting. He felt it. The germs. They were everywhere!
However, he pushed it aside and took in a deep breath. His friends always told him it was fine. Tyson, however, argued with them about all the bacteria and sicknesses, as well as diseases that could be caught from just a simple speck of dust.
Yes, he was a germaphobe. Yes, he had asthma. And yes, he was hiding away from his mother after a fairly annoying argument about him going outside. The day before, they argued about him not having taken his pills.
With a grunt, he sat up and stared at the Temple of Clearsight to calm his nerves. All the stories he heard over the years fascinated him. No, he wasn't the biggest fan of reading, but having some knowledge was at least good. Right? Point proven.

Jupiter landed with a “thump” at the entrance to the temple. He sighed and walked inside.
“This is the PERFECT place to study.” His sister’s words rang through his head, “Books and scrolls on history, generally quiet, and the vibe is just right to lose yourself in schoolwork.”
Jupiter scoffed in his head, although he knew his sister could not hear it. He looked around and saw the HiveWing looking through the manuscripts. Instinctually, he walked to the shelves in such a way as to keep maximum distance away from the stranger. He would wait for this dragon to make the first move.

Tyson's eyes averted over to Jupiter and he very slowly stood up, edging away nervously. His right arm had a cast on it, which caused him to struggle slightly as he walked in a different direction, lashing his tail behind him. Occassionally he'd glance over at the other dragon, as though afraid he would come over and scold him for something he didn't intend to do.
Without looking where he was going, his shoulder bumped into a bookshelf and he yelped, using his one good front arm to make sure nothing fell. With a sigh of relief, he relaxed slightly, but his neck spines were pointing upwards more than usual, showing he was on-edge still.
“Three Moons...” He muttered, taking a step away from the bookshelf. He cast another glance at Jupiter before hissing quietly. 'He better not say a single word!'
“You didn't see anything, alright?” Tyson spoke in his usual tone of voice. He sounded like a 6 year old dragonet, but he was actually 12. And not to mention how small he was. Anyone would think he was that young over 12.

Jupiter looked through the scrolls, making sure that he could at least partially see the HiveWing while focusing mainly on the shelves. He turned his head as he caught more sudden movement out of the corner of his eye. The orange SilkWing just barely managed to not burst out laughing, although it was clear on his face that he wanted to.
“I won’t say it,” He said, putting a talon over his heart, “Scout’s honor.” A slight hiccup escaped him then. He wasn’t a scout or anything close, and that pretty much meant his “word of honor” was of no use to the HiveWing. “Although given that we have similar agendas, I would suggest you don’t destroy the entire temple in the process. I personally wouldn’t care, but I know my sister would definitely hunt you down and burn you to a crisp. It ain’t a threat, I’m just sayin…”

He let out a huff, flaring his four wings out of annoyance.
“Yeah, whatever. And I'm not going to destroy the Temple of Clearsight! I just bumped into something, okay?”
Tyson took another puff from his inhaler, beforehand having grabbed it. His brown-grey, glittering eyes scanned the SilkWing dragon for a short while before he turned away again, mumbling incoherent words under his breath.
'Blah, blah, blah, ScOuTs HoNoR, scouts's honor my rear end!' Tyson thought, stomping his front talons. He turned the opposite direction and started walking, lashing his tail frustratedly behind him to avoid dragging it along the floor. Just the thought of his talons touching the floor of this place made his scales crawl. Blergh, germs, germs, germs.
Then he stopped and peered over his shoulder at the dragon, wondering to himself if they had some kind of weird illness that made them look so stupid. 'Probably' was Tyson's guess.

"Ok then," Jupiter replied, still attempting to not burst out laughing. "Just tryin to be of service." He covered his snout with his talon, but that still didn't keep his sides from shaking slightly.
"At least he is not one of the more violent HiveWings." He thought. When he managed to get his almost-laughter under control, he took a swig from his water canister. He glanced over at the HiveWing as he did so, temporarily forgot how to drink water, and coughed. He took another sip to hopefully stop the coughing fit.
The SilkWing also noticed that the other HiveWing looked generally uncomfortable, keeping minimal contact with anything that was not his property.

Tyson froze in place and raised his tail, though he'd never use it.
“Are you—are you laughing at me?!” He started, taking a step towards Jupiter, but staying at a distance.
'He's trying to stifle a—' “ACK!”
The small HiveWing immediately jumped back when Jupiter coughed, nearly knocking over a display—which he just narrowly avoided. His thoughts had been interrupted, but now his wings were buzzing loudly.

((ack! sorry!!!))
Jupiter grinned sheepishly at the HiveWing, "Well, I know how to keep this HiveWing at bay." he thought. It was strange how this HiveWing didn't tease him about swallowing water down the wrong pipe as most others did. Why?
It took him a moment to hypothesize why the HiveWing was acting like this, "Retreated hastily after a cough, keeps maximal distance from everything, fanny pack with Clearsight knows what...Germaphobic?" He muttered under his breath as he normally does when thinking hard.
On one talon, his default prejudice against HiveWings was giving him ideas about continuing to tease this dragon. On the other talon, the little knowledge he knew about dragon psychology was that often times there would be a reason for a particular action. Maybe this was the case. Better not try to continue the cough course of action.

((It's quite alright! No worries. My apologies if I pushed you to respond or anything.))
“Hey! You didn't answer my question! Were you laughing at me?! That is so—ugh!” Tyson scoffed, his wings buzzing loudly in assistance.
After scanning the SilkWing, he tapped his talons. “Oh. That's it. You do realize, your face looks like you just saw a LeafWing and you're trying to debate about the Tree Wars but realized that was, like, forever ago. Okay, maybe not forever—I—You know what I mean!”
Making a frustrated huff, he sighed through his nose.
It was at that moment Tyson noticed Jupiter was practically staring at him with his beady eyes at this point and it suddenly made him very uncomfortable. Which, to try fix the problem, Tyson glared even harder then beforehand at the oddly taller-than-thyself SilkWing.
After doing so, he gave himself a mental pat on the back before beginning to walk away towards a different section of the temple.
“I think we both know the answer to the question in question,” Jupiter replied, “And me answering would be redundant, don’t you think?”
He was also getting quite uncomfortable in this situation. He knew that the HiveWing might end up eventually lashing out at him, instincts overriding the other dragon’s fear of germs. Jupiter wanted to get away, but he remembered his father’s words, ”If anyone is intentionally trying to scare you or makes you uncomfortable, keep a cool face and move on.”
Jupiter let loose some regular silk from his “bloated wrists” and casually swung it around as the HiveWing turned away, “I guess that is one way of putting how my face looks when I’m thinking hard, but if you’re trying to go for the “most insulting description of said dragon’s face award” well…you got first. At the bottom.”

Tyson turned back around in such a sudden movement that his tail cut through the very air like a whip. Raising his talons up, he started walking towards Jupiter, but stopped when he was about three feet away from the larger SilkWing.
“I am not trying to win no contest, you overgrown beetle!” Tyson put up his front talons, waving them about in frustration.
“Like, seriously! And I don't even know who you are! Do you have any clue for how ridiculous this situation is? I'm not a dragonet, you know that, right, "scout" boy?” Tyson bared his back teeth, growling softly. He had added a deep tone of sarcasm when he said 'scout'.

Jupiter jumped back as the HiveWing's tail sliced through the air.
"Sorry," Jupiter replied, raising his talons in a mock I-am-not-going-to-hurt-you way. "I though it was common knowledge among HiveWings that there is a competition of who can make the most insulting description of my face. Winner gets a bottle of 8% percent citric acid. Not purified from other contaminates. It makes a statement."
The SilkWing lowered his talons, clenched his fists and pulled the silk taught, "This HiveWing is right, this is ridiculous. Besides, If Pa hears about this, he'll ban me from experiments again." he thought resignedly, but he was not going to let the HiveWing have the satisfaction of know it. "Sorry, but I actually genuinely thought you were a dragonet. Certainly not an adult." There was no sarcasm in his voice as he said this, "And I'm not a scout. The 'Scouts honor' was the first thing that came to my mind."

Processing all the information that just stock piled Tyson's brain, the smaller HiveWing started slowly speaking, putting one pair of talons down while the other remained in the air full of life.
“So...you're telling me, that you lied about your occupation,” Tyson grit his sharp teeth, gingerly getting closer slightly. “And you also thought I was a dragonet, when I'm now a young adult,”
After pausing for a moment, the crimson dragon continued.
“That's . . . Actually hilarious.” He slightly smiled, his scales shimmering. “Sounds like something my friend would do.”
“My name's Tyson. And how about you, fake-scout boy?”
He spoke in a mostly calm manner, not bothering to offer his talons out for a handshake due to the fact he had no idea where that dragons talons have been....seriously.

"You could say that," Jupiter answered slowly. He was actually surprised at the turn of events, "Most HiveWing you come across nowadays are decent dragons Jupiter." His mother's words rang through his head.
"Tyson? As in, the famous scavenger boxer?" Jupiter said.
"Uh, hello, reality check, Mike Tyson hasn't been born yet." a mysterious voice answered.
"I'm Jupiter," Jupiter continued, "And if you need to know my true occupation, I'm a chemist." He noticed that the dragon did not offer his talons to him, as was customary. He looked at his own supposed-to-be-cloudy-orange talons, blemished from burns and chemicals he had been using for his experiments. Usually he was very careful, but sometimes some silver nitrate would somehow find a weak point and penetrate through the gloves, staining his talons. There were a couple areas were something had cut or eaten through, leaving pale but still noticeable scars...
Not to mention the bulge on his wrists where the flamesilk gadget should be. It was unnatural, Jupiter knew, and some would find it disgusting, but it was the only way he could figure out how to hide the gadget that was still in the process of being invented.
"I guess my talons trigger his germaphobia." He thought.

Tyson simply nodded, reading his thoughts by the way Jupiter was talking and had seemed surprised. ‘Well, some dragons are easier to read then others. Slightly disappointing, but I can’t be a hypocrite.’
“I see that now.” He waved a talon at the other dragons paws, trying his hardest not to scrunch up his snout and run away at that very moment. “You should seriously get that treated.” Tyson pointed out, standing up straighter. “That could lead to more infections then you think. If something got in your blood stream you should contact someone. It’s unwise to leave all, well—those marks there. When you’re older you’re going to seriously regret it.”

((Ouch, sorry for the wait.))
Jupiter looked at the HiveWing, "Trust me, I know most people - including my own fam - can't bare the sight of my talons. My ma pretty much sends me to doctors on a regular basis just so they can fail at making all of my quirks go away." He rolled his eyes, "The scars are only going to reappear anyway because gloves that would stop rapid acid corrosion haven't been invented yet. But I'm trying." She grinned at the Tyson, "Although, I guess I get sidetracked with a few other projects that are more fun. Anywho."
Jupiter sat down, his talons propping up his snout, "What do you do for a living?"
