I watched the Netflix series a month ago and I am STILL not over that bonkers ending!!!

Currently reading Princess trap by Taliah Hibbert, so excited for the tv show Shadow and Bone about to drop this week on netflix from the Grisherverse books by Leigh Burdugo

Have not read nor watched this one, heard really great things about it though.

Behind her Eyes is one of the best series I have watched this year. The book is equally interesting.

Ooooo I watched the series. It did not go in the direction I expected!! I liked it. I'm currently reading Tithe by Holly Black (who wrote the amazing The Spiderwick Chronicles). I don't recommend it LOL.

I'm currently reading Becoming by Michelle Obama, it was slow for me at first but when she met Barack it got more interesting for me. Lol, you can tell I'm a sucker for romance

Hadn't heard of The Princess Trap but I've just read the synopsis and it's right up my alley!
I've never read any Leigh Bardugo books but Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdoms are sooo high up my list!!!!!!!

Lol! Clearly!! But their love story seems beautiful so I don't blame you. But aki that one has been on my TBR for a while now ... I should do sth about it.

@lilwe you should totally read 6 of crows and crooked kingdom, the series is awesome. Some of the characters from these books will be on the Shadow and Bone tv show.

My goal is to finish my reading challenge by my birthday next week and I’m pretty confident I’m going to make it 💪🤓

I am currently reading and enjoying a very interesting book by Damilare Kuku called Nearly All Men in Lagos are Mad.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year :)
I am currently reading Who Do You Love by Jennifer Weiner. It's my third read of hers. The first (In Her Shoes) was a mediocre 2 star read and the second (Good In Bed) was a hard 1 star read. So this will either be a "third time's the charm" typa read or a "three strikes and you're out" one. Lol

I began the year with the feminist manifesto for the year “The sex lives of African women” by Nana Darkoa which was so intriguing for me, now I’m settling back into work so I’m delving into “Eat that frog; 21 ways to stop procrastinating and do more in less time” as well as “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett

Lol!! This is the final chance. It’s proving to be worth it so far, but even if it ends up being a great read I’m done with her for good after this 😅

I have a huge procrastination problem so I should probably look for that book 😅 I quite enjoyed The Help. I read it after I saw the movie and both were equally good

I loved The Help! I'm reading The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth. I'm 2/3 through it and it's not really what I was expecting. :D

I LOVED The Silent Patient. Major 5 star read for me 🤩

I'm currently reading Love In Colour by Bolu Babalola and the hopeless romantic I am is quite enjoying it 😍

I just concluded reading In The End, It Was All About Love and I highly recommend it to anybody looking for their next easy, emotive read!

Hey David! I finished Nearly all men in Lagos are mad in less than 3 days! It was hilarious and quite a page turner. I cant choose one particular one as my fave but I do know I didnt like the last one at all! Such a twist to the way the rest of the stories were! You're right though, quite a bit of soft porn in there huh?

Lwile, I have Love in color on my TBR list, do let us know what you think? And yes! Do get Nearly all men in Lagos are mad, it's a great inbetween book. I think The Help just got heavy for me :( But I'll definitely go back to it

just finished The Yellow Wallpaper and Other Stories and its a rad feminist document directly challenging and confronting societal conventions on the power dynamics between male/female relationships. the Afterword is as good as the short story!

I saw this on Sunday when I was reading Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover and forgot to respond 😐 I finished that though and enjoyed it, now I am reading Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris and so far so good 🤓
David how is His and Hers? I recently added it to my TBR as I read Sometimes I Lie last year and LOVED it. 5 star read 🤩

Thanks David. I had a lovely vacation but now I am typing this from my desk 😭 I'll look for that one down the road because I love fantasy novels!
