Anybody got any thoughts on this one before we start?
Has anyone read anything similar to this before?

I totally get not wanting to read another meh book. I think I will read the next book sometime in June just because they left it way too open for me and I need to know what happens.

Let me know if you decide to continue and maybe we can BR it together.

Thank you for this buddy read [even though I joined when you had already finished :)]

Not very happy with this, it is a little too plain for my liking, not to mention predictable?
Grace is so annoying for me and seems like the new Bella Swan or something..
The fact that it is taking too long to reveal what is so obvious is bugging me

This book was a huge no for me, uncomfortable with the whole idea of Daniel and Jude and Grace and if it were up to me I’d never hear about them again,
Says the girl who just got the second book, ugh :3

Their relationship seemed a bit strained to me, too.
I have mixed feeling about this book, but I totally get your disappointment.

lol :)
It was not my cup of tea but intrigued me nonetheless. I hope you will enjoy it :)

I actually really liked it. I think the bar was set so low by the ratings on here that it exceeded my expectations lmao

Me too! I'm sorry you didn't like it though :(
Grace Divine, daughter of the local pastor, always knew something terrible happened the night Daniel Kalbi disappeared--the night she found her brother Jude collapsed on the porch, covered in his own blood--but she has no idea what a truly monstrous secret that night held.
The memories her family has tried to bury resurface when Daniel returns, three years later, and enrolls in Grace and Jude's high school. Despite promising Jude she'll stay away, Grace cannot deny her attraction to Daniel's shocking artistic abilities, his way of getting her to look at the world from new angles, and the strange, hungry glint in his eyes.
The closer Grace gets to Daniel, the more she jeopardizes her life, as her actions stir resentment in Jude and drive him to embrace the ancient evil Daniel unleashed that horrific night. Grace must discover the truth behind the boy's dark secret...and the cure that can save the ones she loves. But she may have to lay down the ultimate sacrifice to do it--her soul.
