Astro walked in behind her, "This is where we will be staying tonight." After hours of walking, they stumbled upon this barn and they decided to stop here.

Jude sat and took out her small rag and made sure her gun was clean. The worst thing was being unprotected. Her feet hurt too.

"I'll go collect burnable things. You look tired." Jude offered.

Jude nodded. She headed off, gun slung over her shoulder.

Declan walked by and happened to see the girls. He slowly made his way over to them.

Jude saw a person moving closer but she couldn't see well so she held her gun tentatively in her hand.

Declan stopped and held up his hands.

Jude dropped her gun because she saw Kris had made the first move.

He looked at Kris, "My name is Declan, you can call me Dec though. And who might you be?"

"I'm Jude." She said.

Jude slung her gun over her shoulder and retreated with some flammables to the fire area. She kept a wary eye on Declan.

Jude placed her things down, nodding at Kris and sat on a log, legs outstretched.

" I can go first Kris." She said, standing.

Jude nodded and leaned against a wall.

Dec watched as the girls worked in unison. They were both very skilled. "So, how long have you guys been friends?"

"We met a few hours back." Jude answered.

Jude collected more twigs and brought them over to Kris.

Dec sat down on the ground and checked his gun.

Jude kept an eye on him as she counted her ammo.

((next shift maybe?))

Jude walked over to Kris and nudged her awake.

"It's your shift now." Jude told her.

Dec was sleeping against a bale of hay.

Jude swiped her eyes over the area one last time, Dec sleeping near them and kris getting ready for her shift. She rarely slept so she was eager.

Jude finally closed her eyes, her gun in her lap, leaning against the wall.

Jude sat up quickly, she had slept more than she wanted, but it felt refreshing. She jumped to her feet.

Dec leaned against the hay and looked as Jude jumped up.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" Jude asked.

Jude scowled a little bit. She pulled her hair into a pony tail at the base of her neck.

He looked away from her and up at the trees. "Yes, that is my name. And I don't talk to people I don't really know."

"Smart." Jude said as she loaded a magazine, not raising her eyes from her task.

He stood up and grabbed his machine gun, and started walking towards the trees.

"Just because you don't know us doesn't mean that we won't watch your back." Jude raised her voice as he reaches the tree line.

He paused and turned back to her, "And who says I need protecting?" He asked with a smirk.

"You never know." Jude shrugged. "The world can be relentless." She said finally.

He shrugged and walked back to them, leaning against the barn door.

"Another smart choice." Jude said, allowing herself a small smile as she looked down.

Dec shrugged, "Sure, I have nothing better to do." He said nonchalantly.
