Hi, I'm completely new to this group and am interested in conversations about how to make the American political system function better and achieve widely shared prosperity.

I will soon release a book that is on the subjects you mention. You may find this website on the book of interest. www.newenlightenment.us The New Enlightenment details 34 public policies that will, if instituted, lift tens of millions of Americans out of poverty to a standard of living that now exists in the middle class, substantially improve the standard of living of tens of millions more, create a true democracy and have other major beneficial impacts. These policy impacts will occur while GDP increases and over a $500 billion annual federal budget surplus is created. Several thousands of hours of research, analysis, computational and development work resulted in The New Enlightenment’s comprehensive programs. The costs or revenue gains that will result from instituting each policy is included.
I recommend the following: — Civil Disobedience
— Demand the Impossible!: A Radical Manifesto
— Revolution
