Can you survive in a zombie apocalypse? discussion

Luca walks around and hides behind a tree, trying to go unseen.

He freezes and sighs, he comes out and looks up at the girl. "Good eyes."

"The names Luca, and you are?"

"I wasn't following you, I have better things to do than follow someone I don't know." He says softly.

He cracked a grin and shook his head. "Sorry, I didn't realise how small you are."

"I said, I don't have time to follow people around that I don't know."

"I'm watching out for zombies, not following you."

"So I can kill them quicker. And it's easier to move around."

"I wouldn't be to sure of that." He said looking at where she threw her knife.

"A knife will only get you so far." He says sarcastically.

He grunts but keeps his balance, barely. "You could have warned me you were going to do that." He says with a smirk.

"And almost breaking my back would have been fun?"

"You are when you jump from a tree."

He turns and looks at her, "So, you seem pretty young, how old are you?"

"No need to get defensive, I'm 16." He said.

"That's actually a compliment, but whatever." He said rolling his eyes.

"I never claimed to be normal." He said with a smirk.

Luca walks around looking at the flowers.

Luca heard a noise and walked over to a tree, climbing up and blending in with the shadows.

Luca dodges the knife and shoots in the direction that the knife came from.

Luca recognised the voice and jumped down from the tree. "Emily? Is that you?"

He nods, "Yeah, why'd you throw a knife at me?"

Luca nodded, "And who are you?" He asked the other guy.

Easton watched Emily walk away and he turned and looked at Jason.

"Nothing."

Luca sat down under a tree and watched them, he shook his head. These two were a little weird to him.

He shrugs, "Oh you know, the usual. Killing zombies and trying to stay alive. What about you?" He asks kindly.

He nods, "I agree. It's harder to stay alive being out on the streets like that."

Luca looks back at him and glares, "What?"

He sighs and reloads his gun, "So, how long have you been with Emily?"

"Huh, I thought you were, sorry." He said quickly.

Luca thought this was getting awkward and he couldn't wait for Emily to get back.

Luca shrugs, "I don't know, I just thought you two were together. Aren't you guys around the same age?"

"See, you guys are close in age. So since I hadn't seen you with her, I just assumed you two were together."

"Oh ok." He said messing with his gun.

Taylor looked around at the flowers and plants, "I forgot how beautiful this place is."

"Yeah, how many encounters have you had with zombies."

"I've encountered one, the one I told you about. I've been hiding in my house." she looked down at her feet.

He gave her a small hug."

She hugged him back slightly, "Thanks, I needed this. You are the first non-infected human I've seen in weeks." she pulled away and blushed. She plucked a dandelion from the sidewalk and sat down on the bench.

"Yeah, remember back at the pool," she looked at him smiling, " That person that turned into a zombie was a pizza delivery girl. I locked myself in my house after that. What happened when you first discovered this," she threw her arms up exasperated.

"Right. My dad died before I was born. My mom raised me but she was out on a business trip when this started so I have no idea what happened to her." she looked at him, "I'm sorry about your family."

She smiled and blew out the dandelion.

"Thanks," she smiled and stood and held out her hand for him to take it((to stand up))

She found a sharp garden shovel on the ground and tucked it into the waistband of her shorts. " I just realized that I left my stick at the cafeteria," she smiled, "But it's okay, I am always choosing a new weapon."

"Not a smart move. What if you get attacked?" she said mockingly.

She smiled, "Doesn't mean they can't be breached." She said starting to walk around the apple tree searching for one to eat.

"Thanks," She took the apple from his hand and took a bite.

She laughed.

"Cool, I like reading. I am also a pretty good singer." she looked at a rose nearby.
