I think they were right not to tell Lucy. As Jack mentioned, she would have wanted to be at the house and might have done something crazy when the bad guys showed up. I thought her reaction was reasonable. She would be livid that her boyfriend was in danger and that the people she is closest to knew it and didn't tell her.
I agree, Robin. No way could they have included her in the decision. Sean would not have been able to resist her objections.
She reacted not as an agent but as his fiancée. They knew the difference. Once they heard from him and the operation went in motion, she became an agent again.

I was taken by surprise as well and can see why Lucy got upset, but I think it was a good idea not letting her know. She would have been against it, since they didn't know who the leak was, it kept the information private. Also, she probably would have tried to stop it.
I'm sure Lucy was livid when she found out this was a planned action and she wasn't even aware. If it had been me, I would have wanted to hurt Jack, at least. But, keeping her in the dark was the smart thing to do.
I am the dissenting vote. I think they were wrong not to tell Lucy. Sean expects her to share with him when she is in danger. Yes, Lucy would try to talk him out of it, but Lucy would do anything for her family. Sean could explain that he needs to get these people to keep Kane and others safe.
Personally, after all the information that she found out about fellow agents not trusting her, now she can't expect trust from those closest to her. This is a major betrayal in my opinion.
