I began reading this with another group in April, they have since moved on to the second book. I am at the beginning of part II. (40%) I expect you will all pass me soon. My thoughts at 40%. (view spoiler)
100 pages in, easy read so far. Some interesting worldbuilding through character thoughts, dialogue and visuals. There is a big past here and we are learning bits about it.Expecting to read your thoughts!

I will be getting my book tomorrow
For me its a re-read. I want to get into the second book, but I already forgot too much of the first one, because its been a while since i finished it.

In the middle of book #2 now and I believe The First Law should be read like a single story through. There is no chronological gap between books. Good thing that you are re-reading the 1st.
A favorite I cannot really pick, maybe Jezal felt the most humane with his arrogance and all. But you have to be realistic about these things :)

Though he is very cocky and all I think he is a very relatable character. He could easily be a person you know in real life :D Of course he is not the nicest person (in his thoughts), but I think you can get along with him well.
Just started reading this a few days ago. I'm really liking it. But I did notice quite easily that I didn't really like any of the characters so far. Lmao. Definitely hated (view spoiler)
Aria, that is the problem with most Grim Dark... It is hard to find things to admire in any of the characters...
