I am not sure if this is a spoiler really. What Superlative did Bertram get the newspaper from? Is he spying for someone else?

I still haven't figured this one out. But the only reason I can think of for Bertram's arrest is dealing with the Cerberus.

I assumed that as a thief he was more aware of his surroundings so that he could blend in. As a pickpocket, if he saw something he wanted, he took it.

While reading it, I was apprehensive of trusting Bertram. I was sure he was spying for someone and that was why he stayed out all night.

I've finished.

I quite enjoyed it - Stevens had a very original mind.
