Yeah, I liked the ending. It was a lot different I thought and just not as much action or something

Finished (view spoiler)[ the last quarter really picked up the pace and was my favorite part. I liked seeing the town come together to fight the birdmen things.
I'm glad it ended happy, with them having kids. It was just kind of boring and their relationship seemed odd (hide spoiler)]

Ch 1 to 6: (view spoiler)[I love Amy Harmon's writing but the story is not calling to me that much yet. A bit bored so far but intrigued to see who Sasha is and some action. (hide spoiler)]

From what I can see in your replies it doesn't seem it gets better! Still in there for the writing, I really like her style. I am not sure if you have read From Sand and Ash but highly recommended!

Ch 7 to 12: (view spoiler)[Everything was going so well that I knew something was going to happen. Happily married so soon? No way! However, I never thought she would be already married to someone else! I am quite intrigued about her husband and the Kingdom of Caarn and to see how they sort it out. (hide spoiler)]

Ch 13 to 18: (view spoiler)[I was not expecting Kjell's to be the King's nephew. I am a bit suspicious of the Star Maker not having good intentions. The King does not really want to let Sasha go so I have a few theories on how this could end...let's see if I am right! (hide spoiler)]

Ch 19 to End: (view spoiler)[As I was expecting, the King had to die so they could marry. I am very happy for them and loved the epilogue. I think I am going to rate this 3 stars. I felt that the part with Ariel of Firi and the Volgar was dealt with too quickly after all the build-up. I didn't feel any connection to Sasha, I feel like I don't know anything about her or her thoughts. Kjell's character was better written (hide spoiler)]

I feel like the three of us agree on the book! I am sorry it took longer to read it than I thought.
