This is where you can discuss the Enemies to Lovers Trope

RoRo Enemies to Lovers...

Its a sturggle sometimes because it all depends on the author and the plot and all that stuff but personally, Enemies to Lovers is not my personal favorite but I still enjoy it.

It's not really a personal favorite for me, either. The only enemies to lovers romance I can think of that I actually liked is Cardan and Jude.

message 4: by RoRo (new)

RoRo I am currently reading The Cruel Prince so ima see if I like it!

summerbooks | 3 comments For me, this is my favourite trope. I live the idea that the love interest sees them for their best and worst and still loves them. Also the tension is *chefs kiss*

auden | 15 comments If it’s done well it’s awesome.

message 7: by Darby (new)

Darby most of the time I enjoy it. I get that it's overused but it is for a reason in my opinion. I mean, character development is what I read for and the changes they go through and grow through while falling for each other makes the book that much more special to me.

kate | 3 comments enemies to lovers... its a love hate relationship for me. sometimes i love it and sometimes i hate it. most of the time its amazing. but when people write an enemies to lovers story and they become lovers, and there is no character development? the book is usually not for me.

Shawna Finnigan (sugoishawn) | 18 comments I've only read two enemies to lovers books and I liked them. I feel like I need to read more books with this trope before I develop too firm of an opinion for it

Sarah Anne (jealix) | 3 comments I really like this trope so therefore I’m super picky

message 11: by (new)

♡ (yulyul) It is overdone, but I don't mind it. Definitely not my favorite trope, but I don't really have a problem with it unless it is super rushed.

message 12: by Bella (new)

Bella (belbelbookworm) | 4 comments I like this trope, although I've only read a few books with it. I love the idea of how the love interest learns to love their flaws first and eventually love all of them. But what I think is missing is the character development. Sometimes the author just focuses so much on the relationship that we don't really get to see the characters grow on their own.

message 13: by Sofia (new)

Sofia (sofloaf) This can be bad or this can be SO good. When it's good, the characters stay enemies for longer. There's lots of bad blood. They do questionable things to each other, show all their evil sides.
Nobody is thinking about romance yet.
And THEN it can slowly develop, as the two characters realize they're not actually that different from each other.
I'm basically describing Jurdan, bYE-

message 14: by Sofia (new)

Sofia (sofloaf) I saw something that said people who like enemies to lovers have anxiety about relationships because we have this mentality that when our partner sees our not-so-good sides, they'll leave. And with enemies to lovers, those sides were shown first.
