Play Book Tag discussion

It follows the formula which has worked for so long, but this one felt lackluster to me. It's the same thing - Reacher comes to a small town, and sees a downtrodden man and can't resist helping. This gets him caught up in an intrigue that turns out (surprise surprise) to be bigger and more complicated than expected.

Pacing was a bit slower than usual, action sequences not as exciting, and throughout the book there was a LOT of detailed description of scenes and places. Normally I don't notice these things but for some reason I found myself skimming a lot of them here. There was enough mystery to keep my interest until I finished the book but I can only give this 3 stars.
