I have read all but #6 of the Inspector Grant series. I’ve enjoyed them all; especially The Daughter of Time which piqued my interest in Richard III. Hitchcock adapted A Shilling for Candles for his 1937 movie Young and Innocent.

I didn't realize that about Hitchcock

I'm reading The Daughter of Time currently. Its a fascinating concept.
I've read only one book by Joesephine Tey, Miss Pym Disposes, and must admit that I didn't like it much. It was dated, and I guessed who the murderer was early on. Perhaps I should give her a second chance. If so, which one would you recommend?
I liked Miss Pym Disposes (which wasn't dated at the time it was written!) but her The Franchise Affair is great.

I have enjoyed the Alan Grant stories I've read so far and I also enjoy Nicola Upson's portrayal of Tey in her historical mystery series featuring Tey as a sleuth.
