I had a problem adding my new novel Solens dotter because my ISBN was already used, incorrectly, byt two other books. The ISBN for Solens dotter is 9789188487674 (paperback) and 9789188487681 (e-book).

Could someone please change the incorrect ISBN:s for the two books currently using my ISBN:

- ISBN for the book Utsidan by Jennifer Johansson is currently incorrect. The ISBN should be 9789188487698.

could you please explain a bit more what makes the current ISBNs incorrect? If you find it easier to explain in Swedish, I speak that languague too.

Should ISBNs simply be swapped to match the Library info, or are ACEs the best solution?

Böckerna Utsidan och En fallen ängel är inlagda med fel ISBN. De ISBN som nu står där tillhör min bok Solens dotter (tryckt bok och e-bok). Det skiljer bara några siffror i slutet, så det är nog därför det blivit fel. Eftersom de andra böckerna har fel ISBN kan jag tyvärr inte lägga till ISBN för min egen bok.
Om du vill kontrollera ISBN för Utsidan och Den fallna ängeln kan du kolla på bokus.com eller adlibris.com. Men de jag skrivit i mitt meddelande ska vara korrekta. :)

Edit: Jag vet inte vad ACEs betyder tyvärr. De andra böckerna med fel ISBN är utgivna av samma förlag som min bok.

Thank you for quick reply. That a mixup with the ISBNs was made by the publisher when adding Johansson's title to Goodreads matches my own conclution.

Let's wait a little while to see if other group members chime in regarding how to best solve the mistake.

Sorry, I was directing that bit to other group members, not to you. ACE on Goodreads is short for Alternate Cover Edition, which is the standard way to handle ISBNs that have been used more than once.

But in your case I belive a simple correction will do. I only want to hear from another Librarian that they agree.

Låter troligt! :) Säkert samma sak som hänt med Den fallna ängeln.
För Den fallna ängeln är det de tre sista siffrorna som är fel inlagda just nu. Det ISBN är alltså Solens dotter som e-bok.

If it appears to be just a typo/mixup of ISBNs when inputting the book records, I think it is reasonable to just correct the digits.
