Humboldt Park Branch Library Book Group discussion

The February book is ready for pick up. I will be honest and admit I have never heard of this title but it looks fascinating!

Here are a few questions to get us started....

1. The main character is referred to as Reno but this is just a nickname. When she travels back to the salt flats there is a reference to someone calling her by her name yet we still don't learn it. Why do you think it is being kept from the reader?

2. How do you feel about Reno's interest in contemporary art? Do you feel that it is accessible by the common reader? Do you find that you are more interested in exploring contemporary art?
