READ THIS!!!!!I would like to establish the fact that everything I post is mine. I wrote it and/or came up with the idea. K? One thing I get scared of the most by posting these on the internet is someone stealing what I wrote, so I'm making a decision to trust whoever stumbles upon my writing nook.
I previously posted this in circular narration, but now I'm including it here."You'll never get away with this." Her mother smiled down at her, while she hid the cookie jar behind her back.
"I beg to differ," she said. Her mouth was already stuffed.
"You'll never get away with this," her mother said, from where she stood in chains before her throne. She walked up to her and whispered in her ear, "I beg to differ," before shoving her knife between her mother's ribs.
"I'm scared," she whispered. He pressed his hands harder on the wound on her chest, though he knew it wouldn't make a difference.
Her tears mixed with rain as they slid down her face, and she looked up at him.
"I don't want to go. Not like this," she whispered. A tear slipped down his own cheek, as he kissed her brow.
"You don't have to be afraid. I will always be with you. Even when you are someplace I physically cannot follow. I promise," he said. With his free hand he stroked her hair, as she slipped away in his arms, his brow pressed to hers, and their tears mingling.
"I have to leave," he said."You could stay, you know," she said through her tears.
"I can't," his voice broke as he told her the truth they both knew, but neither wanted to admit, "You can't survive in my world and I can't survive in yours." He wrapped his arms around her.
"I wish it were different. I wish fate hadn't always played games with my life, like a cat with a mouse. I love you. Never forget that."
She nodded.
"I love you, too," she said.
He kissed her one last time, before taking his ring and sealing the door shut. When she ran her hand over the wall, all she felt was smooth, uninterrupted paint. She rested her forehead against that new wall, as she sobbed. He was truly gone.
ReflectionThere is a lady who lives in our mirror
Her name is Reflection
She whispers poison in my ears
But who am I to question?
When I visit her cottage
She doesn't offer me food
You don't need any more she whispers
Just skip one meal or two
When I brush my hair
She frowns with distaste
What a dull head of hair you have!
Such a waste.
She titters and taunts
Till I've had enough
But she won't go away
Getting rid of her is rough
And when I go to tell someone
She, again, whispers in my ear
They'll never believe you
Your on your own here.
They all think I'm crazy
For the lady in the mirror
But her name is Reflection
She whispers poison in my ears
One day you'll meet her
She'll come for you too
But don't come to me
You can't say I didn't warn you

Yes, Brooke. I totally agree about what you said about stealing work. The same goes for me. I have posted a poem in this group, and in the future I might post pieces of my novel. Everything I post is mine, and I have all rights over it.So thanks for stressing that, Brooke!

I finally found time to continue writing and I got a page and a half written and 3 new characters that weren't planned, but they're here to stay now

So I'm going to aim to post something here once a week, whether it's poetry, a snippet from my novel, or something I randomly wrote. I may post more than that, but that's my goal
“Ready to lose?” Killian asked as he strode towards their sparring ring.“In your dreams,” she replied.
When she reached the ring of white chalk, she braced her feet shoulder width apart, right foot a bit in front of her left and knees slightly bent. Killian smirked and Chandrelle lunged. Their swords rang as they clashed suddenly, before Chandrelle broke away and swung again. He blocked before her sword cut his head from his shoulders.
That's awesome!
I'm glad you enjoy writing, Brooke :)
I can't wait to read it! Have an awesome time writing.

It'll take awhile but I'm determined to get my first draft done in a year and thanks!
So I was stuck in the middle of a scene and didn't know how to continue and that put my writing on pause for a couple days but I figured it out and I'm back to writing.

congrats!! 5450 is a lot!
“5, 4,” she said under her breath to time it just right, “3-”“Boo,” a voice whispered in her ear. Chandrelle nearly fell out of the tree. She whirled as soon as she regained her footing, daring daggers at the boy behind her. She’d know that deep voice anywhere.
“What the-,” she cut off as Killian smiled and raised a finger to his lips in a sign to be quiet. He gestured silently to the guy who was almost directly under the tree now.
“I’ll deal with you later,” she mouthed angrily, before dropping from the tree and onto the boy's back.
“Ready to lose?” Killian asked as he strode towards their sparring ring. His dark hair shone in the light.“In your dreams,” she replied.
“Might wanna try that again,” he said. Before she could move a muscle his leg hooked around her ankle and she landed flat on her back. He smirked again as he pointed his sword at her throat. She glared at him. She couldn’t stand his arrogance. He twirled the sword between his fingers as she got up, ”Maybe next time.”
Just me panicking because I can only write 1000 words for a short story and I'm nearly 1/3 words and haven't got anywhere close to the conflict.
And if this is what you were going to submit to a contest, I’d be happy to provide you with some feedback! Feel free to PM me if you’d like!
I don’t know exactly how old you are, but this is a list with a lot of writing competitions for teens.https://www.tckpublishing.com/writing...
