I read the book between 2011-2015, and it was a relatively newer book (no older than 2005 I’d say). The cover was goldenish I think and for sure had a computer power button lit up. The girl ends up falling for one of the neighbors, which momentarily upsets the other neighbor. Cars still work. Basically computer and satellite tech stop working and everyone goes nuts.
