Carol Ann and I discuss the reading adventures she discovered during quarantine, and we both bring books to talk about that we've read and liked lately, from music to paradise to lesser known presidents.

Kim | 30 comments Another great episode with Carol Ann:-) I’ve enjoyed several Susan Meisner books but somehow missed that she had a new one out.... so by the time Carol Ann was done describing The Nature of Fragile Things I had holds on all three formats of the book (paper book, ebook, and audiobook). And the waiting game began!

This episode covered the San Francisco earthquake, raising chickens, lesser known presidents, and more....as always, the variety of books discussed is SO interesting!

I hadn't heard of Susan before but I do tend to avoid historical fiction, lol.

Elizabeth and Kim, I'm eager to learn what you think of The Nature of Fragile Things.
Jeff, I am intrigued about the Grant autobiography. Perhaps I should step backwards a couple of Presidents and read that one!

Kim | 30 comments I just finished The Nature of Fragile Things and enjoyed it very much. I liked the relationships the three adult women had together, and how much they all cared for Kat. Martin was too stereotypical....once I guessed what kind of person he was nothing he did surprised me.

As Bright As Heaven is still my favorite Susan Meisner book...I’ll keep reading my way through her catalog 📚 Thanks again for making me aware of this newest one Carol Ann!

Kim, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I'm adding Bright as Heaven to my list now. I have not read that one yet!
