| Team 04: The Summoners |
As we know, the summoners are capable of summoning different natural elements.
Sun Summoners are one of the summoners. They have the ability to bend and summon light. They can also summon heat from the sun.
The Shadow Summoners are the most powerful summoners. They have the ability to gather and manipulate darkness.
and many more!

Hi Ava! Do you want to buddy read for any of the prompts? I'm still trying to figure out what could work for each one. I was thinking The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller for prompt 3? I think it fits the prompt. Just let me know what works for you.
My copy is coming in on Wednesday, so I can start then. Depending on how long the chapters are we can read between 2-5 a day if that works for you.
For 1 we can do the Summoner trilogy (the first book)For 2 we can do Children of Blood and Bone
For 3 we can do The Shadows Between Us
For 4 we can do Furyborn
Does that work?
yeah that's perfect. Maybe we could save Furyborn for last so that if we don't get to it, Children of Blood and Bond could still count for both? Also do you want to buddy read all of these?
we're doing the first five chapters right? Also do you know if we need a buddy reads thread or anything?
Yes, we are reading the first 5 chapters. Where I live, it's currently 8 AM so the book will be here in 5 minutes.. I do not know if we need a thread but we could always use this or message each other :)
i finished today's chapters. I'm excited to read the rest of the book. I'm pretty hooked so far. And i like Alessandra too. She's very different from most YA protoganists. It's kinda nice to get a break from the main characters that think they're plain and weak. And the ones that have very uptight moral compasses. Wow that sounds bad lol. Basically, i just like that she has a goal in mind and is determined to get it no matter the cost. And she knows just how powerful and beautiful she is. She doesn't need anyone else to tell her that, in order to believe it. She kind of reminds me of Jude Duarte from The Folk of the Air.
OMG yes! I kinda love her tho...she really does know what she wants! She knows what she wants, when she want it, and she does anything to get it! She definitely has priorities! (Also if you don’t mind me asking what time some are you in? Just trying to get an idea of around what time we are both awake)
Also, i'm calling it right now: Leandros is the one behind either the assassinations or the thefts. I have no idea why he would, and absolutely no evidence to support this. But he just gives off a vibe, so i'm sticking to my theory.
Honestly, you could be right. I kinda feel like Alessandra is a mix of Kaz and Nina from Six of Crows.
I'm a little lost on the worldbuilding. I thought it was supposed to be vaguely medieval, but then suddenly there are guns and electricity?
things are starting to go well but there's still more than 10 percent left so now i'm nervous. what if Kallias finds the poison in her trunk and assumes she's the real killer? also i take back what i said about Leandros. he's my precious child and want nothing more in life than his happiness
Okay, I finished!! I honestly was not expecting that plot twist. And it's probably just me, but I feel like Kallias overreacted about the poison. Like, wouldn't see have killed him already? And when he came to find her I don't even know why, but I got second-hand embarrassment from his letter. It was super sweet, but it just made me cringe so much. I really liked this book though, and it kind of reminded me of Red Queen.
yeah omg the plot twist i totally didn't expect that. i mean i called it but i didn't actually think it would happen. the letter was pretty cringe, not as much as Lord Eliades' but still. but yeah i really liked the book overall. it was hard to keep myself from reading more than five chapters a day
well there are 85 chapters in this book so we should probably try to read more if possible, if we want to finish in just over a week. so would around 8 or 10 work? or is that too much?
yeah Zelie's great. i also like reading Inan's chapters. it's interesting getting to see the same thing from opposing views
