They were described as much as needed to show how they mirrored the death of the Saints, but the wording wasn't overly technical or graphic beyond that.
Not too graphic for me. I've definitely read more detailed descriptions and the Wikipedia pages for some of these saints did not spare the gruesome details.
I didn't think it was too graphic. It set up some interesting research of the lesser known saints. I was only familiar with one.

They were more disturbing than graphic. It really bothered me that what was done to these women was based on reality! Yes, centuries ago but still.
Joan of Arc was the only saint I was familiar with here. Learned a lot about martyred saints, though.

Even though the crimes were brutal they weren't really graphically described. And no forensic examinations which can be really graphic. I actually found the information about the saints and their trevails kind of interesting.
I agree, brutal but not really graphically described. I did like the information about the martyred saints too.
I appreciated that the murders were brutal but not graphic. I was bothered by the murders and how horrific they were, but I won't be kept up at night because of the imaging. If things get too graphic, I have trouble continuing read the other. :/ I'm enjoying the series, so I appreciate how Jackson handled them.I'm like you guys, I didn't know much about the martyred saints. I didn't realize there were so many! It makes me really sad thinking of how terrible it was. It was neat to learn about them.
