This is arriving me mad I remember the book..I loved the book...I lost the book. All I can remember is that it had a sci fi feel about it the city was empty and dying and I think that the narrator was simply looking for someone and it was all written as letters home....any help would be appreciated

Probably about 15 years ago...I got it as old stock from a library.....

I quite literally finished this book only a week or so ago. I'm so pleased that after getting loads of help finding my books that I was able to help someone!
