Visited a very good photo exhibition today:



More than 200 very large photo's I thought it would take about an hour or so, but we spent more than 2 hours there.

I remember that first photograph, do many of his photos tend to have the compelling eyes of these two?

Yes, The first half of the expo was only portraits, all of people looking straight into the lens. You get the feeling of being watched, scrutinized.
And they are all larger than life...
Very powerful and intimidating.

Wow. I can see how a roomful of those could be intimidating.

Indeed. And on your computer screen they are pretty small compared to the ones in the expo. Most of them were more than 100 cm (40 inch) wide.
Beautifully illuminated by spotlights in a large darkened hall.
