Beia discussion
Nyla slithered in and looked at the guards as she slithered past them and towards Yozi, a straight face the whole time
Nyla smiled as she nodded but looked around a bit "and you do know I'm a naga and I can fight for myself" she said, as her tail curled up
"I understand and I'm only staying for 2-3 days just to see what it's like" she said and bowed a bit
The fallen angel crouched close to the floors of the dungeons, his bare feet soaked in water and soap-suds, as he scrubbed the stone walls of the newly emptied cell. Which the previous inhabitant had emptied because they were executed that morning, before the rising of the sun. Each wall was covered in curses and hate messages against the royal family and Europa, all written in blood. It was Kadon's job to clean up the messes made by the prisoners and to keep everything as 'clean' as possible.
He'd been doing this since he was ten years-old, after being sold to the capital and kept in the dungeons for the longest time, because the previous King was unsure what to do with him. It had been later decided that he would stay out of sight and therefore out of mind, by cleaning and working in the most unvisited place in the entire palace.
After being alone for so long, human interaction was something the man absolutely feared and believed would be the death of him, so when new prisoners were dragged in he would hide till he was certain no one would see him. As a result the guards believed that he'd died down in the lowest place of the castle, even with the clean cells, they had simply assumed another slave or servant had done the work.
(I mean if he goes to visit a prisoner he could possible catch a glance of him, and ask the guards about the subject. If you want)
Kadon had just finished the cell he'd been working on, his mind void of thoughts, it was difficult to keep in mind what he was thinking because of his amnesia. But there were four exceptions to this condition for him since he could remember his name, age, species (nothing specific about it), and an ancient dead language. Putting everything he'd been using into a bucket, he stood up and brushed the soap from his linen pants. He didn't were shoes and he wore tattered linen pants along with a wide piece of cloth wrapped around his torso and large black wings.
He was close to the entrance of the dungeons, where steps led down into the basement of the palace, in the distance he could hear a man yelling curses against the King. Along with another statement about the demon in the dungeons, that demon been Kadon, who was more of a shadow. These weren't the only things he heard, since a voice caught his attention and in a panic, he dropped the bucket spilling the soapy water inside and slipping. Hitting the ground he scrambled to get up, as the dungeon door opened. The guard caught a glimpse of the shadow running away into the maze of cells, and looked to the King.
"That..." "Well we assumed it was dead your Highness," the soldier stated.
The two soldiers that accompanied the King looked at each other, that being had been deemed dead about seven years ago, and only now had they finally seen it.
"Do you want us to bring it to you?" the second asked.
"Of course," "Should we wait till after talking with the prisoner, or send someone?" the soldier questioned.
He wanted to make sure he didn't his job correctly, since not everyone was forgiving and it wasn't safe to take chances.
Both soldiers turned to look at one another, the one with more authority nodded to the other and they quickly set off to find the creature wandering the dungeons. While the other stood just behind that king accompanying him and watching the fire engulf the man inside the cell. He was grateful for his position and alignment in this war.
Quietly the soldier walked through the halls he was shaking in his armor, having heard about this entity he was meant to catch. From what he'd heard it had been given to the previous king as a slave and having no idea of what to do with the creature kept it in the dungeons, it apparently had been hiding and stealing food from prisoners. The prisoners having no knowledge of the creature would assume and claim it was mice and rats. Like he and the other solider had been thinking, this black form was supposed to be dead of starvation.
"Creature, come out and no harm will come to you," the man yelled into the maze of cells, his voice shaking slightly.
Something tapped his shoulder and he almost screamed when turning around to see a pair of glowing blue eyes staring back at him. To protect himself he swung his sword and he could feel his weapon making slight contact, and a shrill hiss in response.
The guard followed his highness, listening to the prisoners begging for mercy, and sighed if they didn't give good information none of their wishes would be granted. Watching as the fire engulfed another prisoner he kept his indifferent expression over his face. When the king spoke to him, he nodded,
"I did your highness, such a terrible way to perish," "If it were myself I would give what ever I could," he stated.
Trying to persuade the prisoners into sharing secrets and information.
While the fire burned in a few cells, the other solider was busy trying to keep a terrifying creature away from himself. He was a normal human and had no magic so he had to use all his wits to outsmart this beast. Swinging his sword he missed as Kadon dodged but took a chance and let the dull end of his sword hit the fallen angel in the head. He took head and tired breathes as the beast fell to the floor, and dragged it through the maze to where the King and other solider were.
The solider dragged the creature over to the king, he had quite a few scratches all where there was no armor and the beasts hands had blood on the tips of its fingers. Slowly waking up Kadon lunged back and slammed into the solider that had brought him, causing the solider to almost lose his balance.
Kadon looked at the king, his entire body tense, and his blue eyes staring up at him. Clearing this being hadn't been around humans in a long time, or at least spoken to them, since it wasn't saying anything.
"I'm sorry your highness, I asked to meet it in peace, but it attacked me," the solider apologized, while listening to the begging and screaming of mercy.
Kadon looked at his hands as he sat on his knees, he should have listening for these people, when they had been coming into the dungeons or this all would have been avoided. His wings were bound tightly against his back with the piece of clothe wrapped around his torso, and he could feel the feathers pressing against them.
"Yes, your highness," the solider ran off and returned not much later, perhaps only a few minutes with the collar.
The older solider was watching Kadon intently making sure no harm came to the king and yelled for silence from the prisoners, and they all fell quiet.
Kadon didn't look up, he kept his head down, he understood that he needed to show respect. He only nodded in understanding when the made is promise, and another time when the king offered him food. Since he hadn't eaten well in many years, having stolen food from the prisoners in secret.
"Yes, your highness," the solider replied, not questioning the kings judgment.
He took one last look at the prisoners as a warning for them to be cooperative and went off to get what King Yoziama has requested. Kadon kept his head down waiting for instructions, since it was better then taking things into his own hands.
(Gn!)
Kadon stood and followed, he hadn't walked out of the cells in over 14 years, he wasn't sure if he would like it or not and even the light for the stairs and the hallways was a bit much. He had to cover his eyes for a bit before rushing to follow after then King.
Kadon was thinking those exact thoughts and wasn't entire sure if this person had good intentions or not. As a result the fallen angel kept a decent distance between himself and the king that led the way. He'd heard the screams and begging many times before, but actually seeing it was something else.
He nodded, but the distance between the two males stayed the same, clearly Kadon was of more cautious character. Following the king inside Kadon looked around, it was a big change in atmosphere from where he had been living for most of his life.
"Why?" Kadon asked, referring to why the king was doing this.
The fallen angel had done nothing to earn this and had been claimed dead for so many years that his sudden existence shouldn't matter to anyone.
Kadon didn't reply, but simply removed the cloth that was around his torso, it was a bit finicky since it was tight and he hadn't taken it off it quite some time. Once removed though, his wings quickly fell and sprawled over the floor behind him, happy to be released from the tightness around them.
He waited till the door was close till he began to change, his body was covered in ancient tattoos, markings and symbols. Some natural, but most of them being put on him, for reasons unknown. Because the cuts were larger his wings fit better and he was able to put on the outfit without much trouble.
"Well that's surprising," Kadon mumbled.
His wings were so feathered that they filled the cutouts without a problem, and he sat down to pick out dirt and dust from them.
Kadon nodded, but didn't register till a few moments later that he had closed the door having forgotten something so simple.
"Yes," he stated.
He was currently using a sharp silver tool shaped like a birds beak to pick through his feathers and clean them; the term for this being called preening.
