I'll join!
Actually I'll probably have to sit this out instead. With finals coming up I don't want to dedicate myself to a team challenge since I won't be able to read as much. Y'all have fun though!
Officially closing this challenge, happy to see we have enough people to make it two teams without me ;-)
I'll be posting the teams later today so you can start punctually on December 1st.

Hello everyone,
I've updated things to this point. Currently, Team Sleigh Them is in the lead. They're close to getting the first part of their snowman built!

Hm, looks like this didn't go too well with busy holiday season... ;-)
I'll leave the thread open another two days so anyone can add books they forgot to add before, and then close this.

For the final month of 2021 we'll have a team challenge again.
Two teams will have a snowball fight with each other while trying to build the nicer snowman.
As the rules in depend a lot on how many people join in the first place, they'll be left a bit vague until December 1st when it comes to how many books are necessary for making snowballs and knocking off books from the opposing team's pile.
Rules
1. As a team, try and finish as many books as you possibly can and post each one with its title in this thread, stating which team it's for, how many pages it and snowballs it added and what prompt it checked (if any).
2. Building a snowman: To build your snowman, your team needs to check off the prompts in the next post. The first 4 prompts to be checked give you the base, the next 2 give you the "upper body", the next 1 the head. After that, the next prompts go towards the coal eyes, coal mouth, carrot nose, broom and top hat respectively. Each prompt can only be checked once (unless it was knocked off again by snowballs).
3. Snowballs: Books you finish in December will add to your snowball stack in different ways, depending on their length. Books with less than 200 pages add 1/2 a snowball, books with 200 to 400 pages add 1 snowball, books above 400 pages add 1 1/2 snowballs. 2 snowballs will knock off the last book added to the other team's pile, including what snowballs it added, 4 snowballs will do the same, including any prompts that were checked by them. Snowballs can only count like that when thrown at once - so check your team's stack.
4. The team with the nicer snowman on December 31st will win.
5. Good luck and have fun!
Registration: closed!
