Netflix just announced that they will be producing an animated feature based on The Monkey King. I had thought when reading it that parts of it would make a great animated movie. Evidently others thought so also.

Monkey was on TV during the 80s or 90s. You can find some videos on u-tube.

Yes, I noticed that....I think there is a recent episodic show also (episodic is the new phase for TV animation - because it isn't TV anymore it is streaming).
