My thoughts were zombies and the girl on the cover looks like Taylor Swift lol.
I've never read a zombie story :3 Or anything by this author :3 I'm excited
60% (almost because I know I finished half but I’m not sure where I am at this point and my phone settings are weird)(view spoiler)

1. Im assuming this book will be something like Alice in Wonderland as it has a similar name but obviously it will include zombies.
2. I've been reading a bunch of retellings lately but none on Alice in Wonderland so no not really.
3. I havent read anything by this author yet.

Now that I heard you think she looks like Taylor Swift, I have to agree! She really does
I finally got hold of this book. I just finished Chapter 1 and I'm intrigued. I've read another Alice in Wonderland retelling, Alison's Adventures in Underland by C.M. Stunich.
I'm not quite sure how Showalter is going to turn this into a retelling, but I am interested.
Through end of chapter 14I really got sucked into this book! I actually am really enjoying it. I dont think the characters are really acting their ages though (looking at the girls who are constantly acting like sassy little 13 year olds). This is still reminding me of Twilight, but gosh do I love Cole and Alice together. They're so cute (sometimes a littleee cringey, but cute).

FinishedI quite liked this book even though I thought the girls were really mean and sassy (not my interpretation of high school girls; mainly just fits the stereotype)

I flew through this book. Once it sucked me in I couldn't draw breath until the end. At times though I felt like the author was spoonfeeding us, not trusting that we'd figure things out, so quite a bit of it was rather predictable.(view spoiler)

She won't rest until she's sent every walking corpse back to its grave. Forever.
If anyone had told Alice Bell that her entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. But that's all it took. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone.
Her father was right. The monsters are real.
To avenge her family, Ali must learn to fight the undead. To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn't careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies.
