message 1: by Emma (new)

Emma Jaye | 3691 comments I'm looking for a German speaker (native if possible) to check the flow of some recent German translations of my books.
I'm an experienced beta/proofreader/editor and can offer editing/proofreading in English in return.

Bill Ward (billwardauthor) | 3 comments Hi Emma, did you find your German speaker? My wife is German and an avid reader so would be open to reading one of your books or were you looking just for someone to glance over your books?

Bill Ward (billwardauthor) | 3 comments Hi LB, my wife reads everything! If you just want a general response to the quality of translation with a few observations, she will take a look but she doesn't want to be a proofreader.

I dont need a proofreader.. just a person to tell me if the translator captured the emotional tone of my erotic story? But also want to know if she likes the unique them and the way i write.

Bill Ward (billwardauthor) | 3 comments OK. Well send me a message with a link to the book or a PDF if you prefer and I will ask her to take a look. She won't post anything negative anywhere and will send you a message with her thoughts.

Heather | 4 comments I am as well looking for a German speaker to look over my dialog.

My deuteragonist is a native German speaker, and I am not.

https://www.goodreads.com/story/show/...

Eileen Moore travels the continental United States looking for ghosts, cryptids, and all manner of paranormal beings.

Instead, she finds a severely injured young man, who doesn't seem to speak English, held captive in the basement of an abandoned building and, without other options, she takes him home to nurse him back to health.

And to find out if he's human or not.
