Here are some classic well-known technothrillers. Since technology exists in all aspects of life, a technothriller can really be any genre. Technology just has to be a primary driver in the plot. Common subgenres include military technothrillers, crypto technothrillers, and scifi technothrillers.Classic Technothrillers
Tom Clancy, Jack Ryan series
Robert Ludlum, Jason Bourne series
Michael Crichton, Jurassic Park series
Dan Brown

Jack Carr, The Terminal List series, book 4:
Dale Brown is a classic military technothriller author, who has been writing as long as Tom Clancy. The difference is, Dale Brown is still actively publishing. He is known for sticking with characters over a long period of time. His McLanahan series is atypical. The first book published in 1987 is old-school, classic military thriller. But Dale Brown is adapting to the times, and is choosing to adapt the series rather than end it. Patrick McLanahan has been the protagonist of this series since the beginning, but Patrick's son, Bradley McLanahan has become the protagonist, and the novel is set in the near future, and Bradley leads a team caught at the center of a conflict for control of space.
