Academy of "Monsters" discussion
Lyra smiled and walked inside their dorm.
"No, you go ahead. I think I will kinda start moving stuff around so we actually will have beds to sleep in," She said smiling at James.
James nodded, then got some of his clean clothes and walked into the bathroom to change. He finished changing and walked back out, stuffing his dirty clothes into a trash bag, as he had nowhere else to put them. He started helping Lyra out her bed together.
Lyra smiled, watching him go. And then when he came back she grabbed her clothes then went into the bathroom and changed. After she came back out she kissed James on the cheek and went back to cleaning the room a bit.
"Want any help?" She asked, kind of knowing the answer to it.
"Up to you, but that window over there," She pointed over to a window in their room, "That is where mine is going," She said nodding her head. She loved how the sun would shine on her every morning, and she would be able to look up at the stars every night. Lyra walked over to one side of her bed and waited for James to take the other so that they could move it over by the window.
"Perfect!" She said with a smile after both James and she placed the bed right next to the window. "Ok, that looks great! Where would you like your bed?" She asked placing her hands on her hips. But then after a small minute, she grabbed a few things that were hers that belonged on her bed, she placed them on her bed. A few boxes that had her name on them were then also placed on her bed, all before James could answer. Lyra furled her wings, and then unfurled them; trying to stretch them out.
"Ok, sounds good. Well should we get all the boxes unpacked real quick? I can go get some food real quick if you would like so we can eat while unpacking," Lyra suggested. She wore a bright smile. Lyra pulled her hair up ontop of her head into a messy bun.
Lyra frowned, she knew that James didn't exactly want to move schools, and she also knew that she shouldn't have pressured him to move with her. But Lyra had been accepted into the prestigious school, and how was she supposed to decline the invitation. She wanted to, but James had told her to go. So she did, and she asked him if he would go with her. "You can always go back James," She finally said after a while. She didn't want to stay and see his reaction, so she grabbed a light jacket, pulling it over her wings and walked out of the room and went to go get them lunch.
Lyra came back a bit later with food in her arms. "Hey, what do you want? I got a little bit of everything," She said laughing a bit. She took the chicken nuggets and sat on her bed.
Lyra smiled, "How was school today?" She asked. They only had a few classes together, and even then, they were separated. It made Lyra's heartache, but she genuinely wanted to know how his day went.
Lyra smiled and brushed her fingers through James' hair, "Fine, I missed you too," She said, leaning and kissing him on the nose. "School will always be boring to you," She added, with a small laugh.
Lyra smiled and ate one of her chicken nuggets.
"Arent you even a little bit hungry?" She asked, popping the last chicken nugget into her mouth.
"Thats weird, and it also sounds kinda gross," She said with a smile.
//i think i am going to log off for the day :) might be on a little later tho!//
He shrugged. “Probably doesn’t taste too much different from deer. Maybe a little tougher.” He finally got up and picked up a slider, then ate it. He picked up a few crackers and started munching on them, sitting on the floor and trying not to stare.
Lyra looked at James with a smile. "Like what you see?" She asked with a small smile. She spread out on her bed and stretched, yawning.
Lyra curled her wings around herself. She turned so she was laying on her side, but without laying on her wings. She smiled at James. She loved looking at him. He was very distracting, but in all good ways.
Lyra shook her head, and then propped her head up with her arm. "No," Lyra said, "Why? What is it like?" She asked
Lyra nodded and sat next to him, her parents had been non-existent through most of her life. She never was given the pleasures of something like this. She pulled her hair over her shoulder and fingered through it.
Lyra nodded and did as James said, she unfurled one of her wings and the tips laid gently on the ground. "Anything else I need to do?" Lyra asked turning her head to look at James.
Lyra smiled watching James brush her feathers. He was right, it was soothing. It was just what she needed at that moment. James knew exactly how to cheer her up from a long day of hard work.
He finished brushing her wing. “Alright. Can I brush the other one?”
Lyra nodded and tucked the wing that James had just brushed in and let the other wing unfurl. She smiled, still fingering through her dirty blonde hair.
He stood and moved to her other side, not noticing her hinting. He started brushing and smiled at her. “Have I ever told you that you have beautiful wings?”
