Kathy Hi, This is Kathy, and I am not on FB. I just recently retired (at 63). I worked for years as a financial/administrative advisor in healthcare. Since retiring, I have been helping out on Zooniverse Citizen Science projects.

I am checking in here to the Secret Group.

Louise | 355 comments For those that aren’t on FB.
Hi, I’m Louise from South Wales where I live with my 5yr old springer daschund cross. I lost my partner suddenly to cancer just under a year ago and my dog helps me get through as well as close friends. I’m a purchase ledger clerk and have been working from home throughout the pandemic I do have 2 days in the office to maintain my sanity.
I enjoy reading, obviously, and since WFH I’ve discovered audiobooks 😀, gardening including growing foodstuffs (something we started in earnest at the start of lockdown last year), baking (I have just completed a piñata cake for my niece’s 6th birthday) and watching movies and binge watching series (currently watching Black Lightning, but Lucifer is back). Also looking forward to my first staycation holiday in September to get some refreshing sea air with a friend and the dogs.

SandyC (sandyc88) | 65 comments I can't find the FB group. :-(

Hello! I'm Sandy. I live near Minneapolis. I have two teenagers and two dogs. I (blissfully) work from home as a website content manager for a health insurance company. I love reading, knitting, watching my daughter play soccer, scrapbooking and binge watching anything good! (Peaky Blinders is my latest obsession.) I always welcome book and TV recommendations. My entire family lives in Dallas so I hope to visit them again soon. (I would also love to do a meetup with Abbie!) Other planned travel: Soccer tournaments in Duluth at the end of June and Colorado Springs in August. I am grateful that my family survived the pandemic and I know life will never be the same but I'm interested to see what the new normal will look like!

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 154 comments Hi team! It's nice to be a part of OU812. I just started working again after being on disability for ~5 years so I'm struggling a bit to keep on top of everything. I currently live in Maryland but am looking to move to either Metropolis, IL (home of Superman) or Pittsburgh, PA (nice and near mountains). Looking forward to playing this game!

“I am so hungry I could eat a _______”

My thoughts:

I am so hungry I could eat a . . . brain.

Done in emoji predictive text.

Of course, we can go with something less gross.

Your team will tell a campfire story together on your Goodreads Saloon Page.
Once you finish a book, you will write the next part of the story
If you finish a prompt book, you get to write two sentences . If you finish an extra book you write one sentence .
Let see where this will take us!
“A long time ago when the world was first born, it was always dark in the north where the Book people lived.”

(This starts as of this post, and will be open for a few days)

Cannibal prompt allows two sentences.

A long time ago when the world was first born, it was always dark in the north where the Book people lived.

The story you're about to read is true.

The Book people decided to journey to a land that was warmer and more hospitable. This was a difficult journey because the Book people carried with them a powerful totem.

The totem began it's journey in the foothills of the mountains where the animal spirits hold power over the land. Six special members of the Book people were chosen to go on a journey of self discovery. Their journey would last weeks and require a great sacrifice, as they faced their greatest fears to overcome the obstacles in their path. Only the strongest of spirit would survive the journey in front of them.

The Wagon Train has gotten a little bored during their travels and decided to start a school.
For this week ONLY, Friday to Friday, Read books in order of the Alphabet. Title only
The books MUST be posted in order by alphabet , so make sure you all plan accordingly. (However they do not need to be read in order)
These books can work for prompts, so they will be extra points on top of your prompt books.
Each book read will count as extra points, and the team that makes the longest run will get extra points as well!
