Hi Jodi!
I had it on my to read list for years & I regret that I didn't get a copy of it sooner. I have read a lot of Holocaust literature, but this was written in sort of a poetry/prose combo style that I found quite enjoyable. I have a few students each year who really get interested in the Holocaust after reading Anne Frank, & I think this will be on my suggestion list for them to read. :)

"Is this digestible? Also, I've heard that there is a certain slant to this writer's work; do you agree? By slant, I mean political.
Thanks,
Andrew
Well, I listened to the audio book and it was abridged (I didn't check before I bought it), so I thought that it was the abridgment that made it a bit difficult. It skipped around a lot in time, so in one paragraph it would be discussing an event in 1915 and then it would leap to 1918. It was also a bit dry, but since I am very interested in World War One, that didn't bother me too much. I think he was slanted toward the Allies but that wasn't really surprising to me since a lot of historical works are slanted toward the side of the victors.
