My name is Nayana. I'm new here. Actually using this site for the first time for any other purpose than checking book reviews. I'm actually having a hard time recalling an Indian novel that I read long back. I'm going crazy looking for it. I was wondering if you guys could help me with this issue. It is a romance novel and below are the details:
The main story is that the heroine's father does not love and respect her because she is a girl. Though the heroine knows this and rebels her way out; but she still loves her father. So when he gets sick she is called back to her home where she meets the hero. Hero works for the heroine's father and the father loves him like his own son and wants him to take over the business. Father asks the hero to marry his daughter. Hero pretends to like the heroine and slowly progresses the relationship to marriage proposal but the heroine later comes to know that he is only pretending to love her. Side note- hero respects and loves the heroine's father as he is his mentor. However, he also respects the heroine so he asks her father not to reveal this (handing over the business to H) details to the heroine as she thinks her father genuinely called her back.
The heroine has an elder sister. The sister is submissive and gets married to the person her father wants (an abusive person). Her sister's husband is a typical male and does not want her sister to work. She goes through 2-3 abortions because the husband and his mother does not want girl child. Later, both H & h bring her home with her child. The sister likes the doctor who is an old friend and ex-crush of her's. They end up together.
Side note - the cover had a man and woman in formal clothing. It might not be the same now. The sister's husband or boyfriend was named Piyush. Not sure though.
I've gone through my kindle history for 3 years but couldn't find it. Please help!!
