Whimsical Academy discussion
This is where the entrance to the school is
The car stopped just outside of the entrance to the school. Ollie groaned when his godmother woke him up to get out. “Do I really have to go back?” He asked as he was putting his shoes on, then fixing his hair. He was honestly just asking to be annoying. Not because he thought she would actually allow him to not go. He knew how tough she was, and there was no way she was going allow him to not go. It would be this or some military camp. Heh, no thanks, he thought to himself. After leaning over and giving her the expected kiss on the cheek he got out, straightening his shirt and leather jacket. He went around to the back of the car to get his things. Most of his trunks would have been delivered before hand, but he still had a backpack in the back that held his electronics that he wanted to keep on hand. Like his MacBook and iPad. He waved his godmother off and went towards the Great Hall, there weren’t many students around, yet. But he was sure there would be soon. He pulled out a piece of gum and put it in his mouth before continuing. He had plans on tearing up this school this year, maybe making a friend or two.
"You're kidding me, right?" Caledonia turned from staring out at the large school and looked back at her mom. "This place is a school?""The things this world comes up with never fails to amuse me," her mom stated flatly, and the mother and daughter exchanged a small chuckle.
Caledonia turned back to it. "I guess this is it, then."
"I guess it is. You'll be fine, you know. If anyone gives you any crap, you--"
"Mom. I know. I can give it right back." She turned again. "I'll keep you and Uncle posted on everything twice a week, more if there's anything important that I find or that comes up." She stared up at the building again--nervous was not something she'd describe herself as, at all. She'd done so many deadly things, and yet going to a school? A boarding school? Now that was nerve-wracking.
"Sounds good. I'll see you on holiday."
"You, too." Caledonia opened the door to the truck and stepped out, grabbing her backpack and slinging it over her shoulder, and then reaching in the back for her suitcase and duffle bag. "I love you."
"I love you, too."
She closed the truck door, and her mom drove off in their old black truck. Caledonia watched until it left the drive, and then turned and headed up the steps to whatever huge room this was. This was place was absolutely enormous, and as much as she didn't want to, she'd have to at least try and make two friends.
She easily dragged her stuff up the stairs and headed towards the large doorway, tucking some of her dark hair behind her ear.
She paused on the steps and fished out her phone, quickly typing something inside it before she pushed it back into the pocket of her leggings.
A woman came up to Ollie, greeting him by name, she knew all of them by name somehow, every year. “Here’s your schedule dear,” she handed him a slip of paper. “Thanks,” he muttered before going to the wall to slouch against it while he read over his new schedule. He was annoyed that he had to take calculus. And forget the physiology class he had to take. His parents really thought that he was going to become a doctor one day. It annoyed him that they hadn’t considered what he wanted. But there wasn’t much to do about it now. Though technically he could switch his classes, and maybe he would just piss off his parents. He was distracted by his schedule, but not so distracted that he didn’t notice the new girl that walked in, with what looked like her entire luggage. Should he offer to help? Probably, but that wasn’t his style. Instead he waited, watching her to see if she knew what to do. If she didn’t he may laugh, if she did, he may be impressed. Other students were arriving, it was interesting that it didn’t stay stagnant for long around there.
Caledonia looked around again and froze. She could feel someone's eyes on her, and she turned and sought out a boy who looked maybe around her age, slouched against a wall, watching her. She turned and lifted her chin, giving him a once-over. He looked somewhat like trouble based on his slouched posture and the annoyed look on his face, and the fact he was staring at her.
Footsteps echoed in the room, and Caledonia turned to see someone walking towards her. "You're new, right?" A woman asked.
"Yeah."
"Schedule's right--"
"Oh, I have it already." Caledonia held up her phone. "Thanks, though."
"How did you get it already?"
"I was sent it early," she lied, but took the paper from the woman anyway. "Thank you." She stuffed the paper into her pocket, and the woman stared at her for a second before walking off.
With a sigh, Caledonia took up the handle of the suitcase again.
Ollie rose both brows when she basically blocked the woman’s abilities of telling her name and giving her her schedule. He shook his head slightly before speaking up, “People usually let her do her job ya know?” He was definitely annoyed with this chick. She had no manners, hell he had no manners but he still let the lady do her job every year. Who was this girl to rain on her parade? It wasn’t like she was some hot shot, unless he’d missed something in the message boards. No one of too important background was attending this year that he knew of, of course he could be wrong. Ollie was known to be wrong once in a while, though it was rare. “Who do you think you are anyway ?” He asked on top of his statement. Calling her out first thing, yeah this was going to be one hell of a year.
An amused smirk crawled up one side of her face at how annoyed this guy was--it made no sense to her, but he must be a very sad individual indeed if a very little thing that had no bearing on him drove him up a freaking wall. "I was just a step ahead of her," she stated calmly with a shrug, and then narrowed her eyes at his other question. "I'm sorry, what? I go here, just like you do, so watch the mouth, hotshot," she snapped, and then shrugged. "Or do you not go here, I may have mistaken you for a student when in fact you could just be hanging around waiting to assault students from your rich-guy mansion, but hey, honest mistake."
She let her eyes roam him again with a calculating expression--leather jacket: expensive. He was rich. Smooth attitude: he thought the world of himself. Hair all nicely arranged: probably thought he was a ladies' man.
"A step ahead? You could have just let her do her job and not said a thing, she likes that the students are surprised that she has everything they need right when they walk in those doors," Ollie didn't much care for this girls attitude. Did she think she was better than he was? He rose a brow and let out a laugh when she assumed that he might be anyone other than a student. "Yeah I go around assaulting students for no reason whatsoever," Well he kind of did sometimes, but now was not the time to bring that up. "I'm Ollie, and I happen to have gone here since Year 1, I have more right to be here than you, I can assure you." His eyes narrowed at her as he glared her way. This chick wasn't playing around, and since she wasn't holding back, neither would he. The two of them were going to be sparring this morning apparently.
"Okay," Caledonia responded with a shrug. "And how does me not letting her do that impact you? Eh, whatever, you're not worth my time." But then he said the next part, and she narrowed her green eyes at him, a flash of anger sparking through her veins. She had been trained to keep a lid on her emotions, but anger's lid uncorked...very easily. "You can assure me, huh? Oh, go ahead and assure me, then. And your name is Ollie? No last name? Sorry, am I supposed to know who you are?" Then she grinned. She could background check this doofus in seconds.
It was apparent that him and this girl, whoever she might be, we’re not going to be fast friends. His mom flitted through his mind as he stood toe to toe with the girl. His mother definitely would have disapproved. Would have called him out in his bs and told him to be more of a gentleman. But he just wasn’t that type of guy, instead he was being a complete jerk, “Come talk to me when you have a history here and know the place like the back of your hand. There are traditions here that have to be upheld, and you’re treating them as if they can be thrown away,” why was he even arguing this? He didn’t really care about the school anyway. Really what the hell was he doing anyway? Just arguing to argue? Eh why not.
"Are you trying to intimidate me?" She asked him, and raised a dark eyebrow. "Good luck with that. Go get help, you clearly need it. It's not like I'd know the traditions, I just got here. And it's also not like you own the school, but hey, who am I to pull the deluded from their delusions?"
Caledonia shrugged and sighed, leaning back on her heels and letting one hand trail around her back. She took her phone out and stepped away from Ollie, and began furiously typing. After a minute, she nodded, looked up, and put the phone aside. "Son of Hades. Explains a lot more now."
"Intimidate you? Me? I would never," He said a bit sarcastically. She seemed to think that he actually cared what she thought, which he didn't. What surprised him was when she said who his father was. "Hades and Persephone, do not leave out my mother," He mumbled. "I don't see how it explains a thing," He wasn't about to admit how much like his father he was. Everyone said it, and it was kind of a button for him, but she didn't need to know that. "I'm not the one putting down little old ladies that are trying to help out, you are. So who needs help around here? Sheesh, you don't even see the effect you have on people." He shook his head, "I think you need to see the school counselor, after you apologize. I think you owe me," He crossed his arms over his chest.
"Oh, shut up, jerk," Caledonia spat. "It explains quite a bit, actually. And, oh yes, your mother. You probably don't even respect her though, am I right? And is that really all you can say to me? My own insults back at me? Wow, grow up, this isn't first grade, bud. And I wasn't putting her down, I was just ahead of the game." She slid her phone away and shrugged. "And, yeah, I must have an effect on people. One that just causes others to unrealistically explode into a fit." She glared at him at the last word, rage building. "Apologize? Owe you? Hell no. You're a rich-boy sexist jerk who was shipped off to your godmother's house because you're an asshole." ((we allowed to cuss a little? If not I will change it))
(Yeah you're good, curse like a sailor, idc)"What? I do respect my mother," He thundered, bringing her into this conversation had been a mistake, obviously. Because if someone went off about his mom, he was going to have to be held back. She was lucky she was a girl. "I'm the one exploding into a fit? That's rich," Ollie was really getting steamed, and he wasn't sure where it was all going to go to. She brought up his godmother and he about slapped her, it took everything in him not to. "Look," He said through gritted teeth, "Paper doesn't show everything, you know nothing about me, so don't go riding your high horse just because you saw a couple of facts on me. You know nothing," He clearly said the word, "NOTHING, about me or my family. So get off that little pony of yours and come back down here with the rest of us. Hoity toity little bi-" He cleared his throat, no he would not go there. "Its the first day, maybe we should chill." He said as an administrator went by. He wasn't done with her yet, but he didn't want to get kicked out on the first day either.
As soon as the administrator walked by, Caledonia slapped him across the face, hard, and slammed him against the wall, twisting his arms behind his back and pressing her legs against his knees. "You call me that one for time, punk, and I break a bone," she threatened. "You know very well that you're the one with your ass on a high horse. And for that note, get your facts straight, I didn't see a paper, and yes, I do very well know a bit about you now. I could know more. May look into it. Haven't decided, but you're temping me."
The administrator went by and then she slapped him! The shock hadn’t even worn off before she was putting him in some kinky hold and he was in a bit of pain. “I’m from the Underworld little girl. Do you really think, ow!” He shut up for a minute, then folded himself forward, letting himself fall, bringing her with him, he rolled them and sat on top of her while holding her arms, panting he said, “I am the son of Hades, did you really think it would be that easy?” He was tempted to do more than hold her there, but he didn’t need her filing charges against him. “I’m going to release you if you can decide to keep your damn hands off of me.”
Caledonia smirked. "You don't set the terms." And with that, she arched up, bit him in the arm, and slammed her knees into his spine twice before using her body to throw him off of her. She ran, kicked him in the chest, and unlocked a gun from her hip, aiming at at his face. "It was that easy."
“Oof,” he let out as he was kicked in the chest. He may be immortal, but it didn’t mean he didn’t feel pain. His breath was knocked from him, and he saw black dots for a moment. Once his vision cleared he saw that she had a gun directed at him, he snarled, he wasn’t one to be cornered. “You may want to rethink that,” he said Cooly, standing up he dusted himself off, though really there was nothing on him. “Weapons? Already? You can’t fight for yourself ? I’d like to see you in the ring,” he chuckled a bit, his pride was hurt, but he wasn’t about to just give into a pretty girl. “Put that thing away, it’s not a fair fight with it. I’m not armed,” he spread his arms wide, he had a feeling she liked for things to be fair, she had her own pride too after all.
"I can fight for myself. And fine, I'll go a round against you." Lowering the gun, she slipped it back into her pocket and grabbed her suitcase. "See you in the ring." She began to head past him, but when it seemed she was a few feet past him, she turned and jumped, swinging her legs around his shoulders and knocking him to the ground, rolled away from him, stood up, and slammed her boot into his face twice. "I fight for myself," she spat. "You ass.*
Ollie thought they were done and had come to an agreement. But just when he let his guard down she was kicking him in the face. He felt the rush of blood come out his nose before he saw the red dripping down the front of his shirt. “Fuck, why did you do that,” he yelled with rage, his eyes turned a bright gold, and it was obvious that he was other worldly. “You may want to watch yourself before you do something that you regret,” his words were fire in his throat, his fists were balled at his sides as he did his best not to go after her. “I think this thing you have for me? It’s dangerous,” he was flipping what he was saying now, acting as if she had some crush on him and that’s why she was acting the way she was towards him. He doubted it was true, mostly he said it just to get a rise out of her. Damn if she wasn’t a badass, he could respect that, even if he wouldn’t admit it aloud.
"I did that because you're a misogynistic jerk, and I did that because you deserved it and because I'm angry. And I can say the same to you--you watch your back, Ollie, son of Hades. And what thing? I don't like you, at all. Nobody can like you. And one more tiny threat: I know people who work for the government, so I dare you to piss me off."
Ollie wiped his nose on his shirt, smearing more blood. Well this shirt was trash. He shrugged off his leather jacket before it could get ruined and put it folded into his book bag, then shedded his shirt. “You’re a real piece of work, do you know that?” He asked as he balled the shirt up and put it to his nose. He was now in low slung jeans and his vans, showing a well toned upper torso, tanned by the sun. He was fairly well tanned for a boy of the underworld. “I know that it isn’t easy starting a new school, but damn. Doesn’t mean you have to be a tyrant on your first day,” he eyed her as he took the shirt off his nose. It seemed to have stopped bleeding.
"You antagonized me," she stated flatly, watching his face the whole time and completely un-phased by his toplessness. "And I'm not a tyrant, I'm standing up to a jerk who thinks he's king of the world."And with a final flip-off of her middle finger, Caledonia grabbed her suitcase and walked out of the Great Hall, a smirk crawling up one side of her face, even as she was furious at the jerk and how he was acting.
Ollie wasn’t used to such a reaction from girls, usually they were falling at his feet and he was fighting them off. To have this girl fight back and talk just as much crap as he was? That was some thing else. “I don’t think I’m the king of anything, but I do know I’m the prince of the underworld,” he muttered to her retreating back. She gave him a very unlady like gesture, he returned right back at her. “See ya around fight club,” he called to her back before picking his bag up and going towards the boys dorms.
Kataera sat quietly, she watched the students return to the school and smiled a bit. The fourth-year had been living at the school for her four years since she had no parents, other than great grandfather Chiron. But he was busy lately and hadn't had time to take her back to her other temporary home, Camp Half-Blood. The Zushenian run down the hallways her large paws, barely gripping the slippery floors of the school.
Sasha landed with no help from her mom or dad, she was quite skilled in flying by this point. Her skin shimmered with the pixie dust she had put on herself in order to get to the school from Neverland. She’d spent her summer there, having fun with the Lost boys, they were sad to see her leave. She was sad too, but at the same time very excited for the new adventure in her life. She had a pouch of pixie dust attached to her belt, her dad insisted she take some, just in case he said. She turned and hugged both of her parents, Wendy was tearing up, Peter just looked a little lost. “I’ll be fine,” She assured them both, her bags had been sent ahead, so she had no luggage to carry in. “I love you both!” She said before hugging them one last time and stepping away, they assured her that they loved her too before flying away, hand in hand.“I got this,” She muttered to herself, she squared her shoulders and went toward the entrance, this was going to be a good year. She’d been wanting a good dose of adventure of her own, and here she was. On her own in a new place, no parents or Lost boys. It was going to be something that she remembered for the rest of her life, she was sure of it. Sasha walked into the building, the Great Hall was enormous, a lady came up and gave her her schedule, Sasha smiled and thanked her before continuing down the hall. There were several students milling about, she tried to catch one of their eyes, she wanted to make friends. But everyone was so caught up in their own world that they didn’t notice her. She was starting to feel a little down as she continued down the hall. Then she saw something she’d never seen before, someone, not a cat, but not quite human either, she was beautiful. “Hello?” She said, trying to introduce herself.
Kataera gave a wave, before she slipped on the floors, and tumbled a few feet. Her long brown hair in a ponytail went a bit all over, as she lay on her back.
"Hello," she said, getting up.
A few of the students had laughed at the fourth year's tumble, and Kataera had given them a dangerous glance, they quickly shut up. Kataera shook out her cream and beige flecked fur and moved her paws flexing them.
“Are you okay?” She asked when the other girl fell, Sasha rushed over, prepared to help in any way that she could. It was her natural instinct kicking in, though she wasn’t sure how she would help. But the girl stood back up, she seemed to be just fine, Sasha thought the giggles from the other students were quite rude. “Don’t listen to them, they just didn’t have a proper upbringing,” she said with a smile, “I’m Sasha, Sasha Darling,” She introduced herself, while thinking of all the manners her mother had taught her over the years. She was pretty sure that she was being polite and doing everything in the right order. Sasha had only had the Lost boys as friends, she’d never had anyone outside of their little bubble.
Kataera fixed her ponytail, she just shrugged,
"Oh don't worry, I don't," she says with a snort, "I'm Kataera, nice to meet you," she says.
Kataera was in her fourth year at the school and lived here year-round since she had nowhere else to go. After spending so much time, she realized he should be practicing running on the smooth floors of the school.
(Sorry I went to get food )“Pleasure to meet you Kataera! Have you been going here long ? This is my first year,” she admitted while tucking her hair behind her ear. She wasn’t sure exactly if what all to say, did she let it be known where she lived half of her life? Or did she just say she was from London? She wondered where Kataera was from, it had to be an interesting place indeed with the way she looked. Her parentage must be interesting as well. Sasha didn’t stare though, that was rude. Her mother had taught he basic etiquette and she knew that staring was part of that. “Wait you said Kataera, right ?” She asked blinking in surprise. “My roommates name is that, according to my schedule.” She held the piece of paper out to show Kataera.
(It's fine :) )
"I've been here for four years now," she says.
Kataera wasn't exactly sure where she was from, those deals had never been revealed to her. But she didn't seem affected by those unknown details and neither did she seemed to have the need of knowing.
"I am," "The one and only," she joked.
She gently took the paper and looked it over,
"Yup," "That would be me," she says after looking at the dorm number and such.
Sasha smiled when she said she was the one and only, “Of course.” Sasha leaned a hip against the wall, “Four years? Wow that’s a long time. Do you like it so far?” She was happy and surprised all at the same time when she found out that Kataera was her roommate. What were the odds that they would run into each other before the dorm? She wondered if Kataera was as pleased as she was with this revealing news. “Well I think we’ll be great roommates,” She said happily. This was her first start at a new place and it was already going so well.
She handed Sasha her paper,
"I guess it is, I've never really thought about it, but this place is pretty awesome," she claims.
Kataera hadn't had a roommate in a while, so this was a pleasant and well-wanted surprise. She was also glad to have met her roommate before the dorm, because from what she knew that was awkward more often than not.
"I would agree!" Kataera says, sounding quite excited. "Want me to take you to the dorm?" she asked.
It was a comfort to hear that the school was an awesome place to live. Sasha had of course had her small doubts in the back of her mind, and they had been bothering her for the last week. But with the assurance of another student, well that helped a lot. She nodded her head,” That would be great! Thanks, is it far?” She fell in step with Kataera, ready to walk to their dorm. It was going to be like living in London with walking everywhere. Her dad had said to use the pixie dust sparingly, and she planned on doing just that. They were soon walking outside of the Great Hall and onto the sprawling campus, Sasha took in a breath, almost a gasp, “It’s beautiful.”
If anyone was to be asked about living at the school as a student, Kataera was the best to ask.
"No not really," she says, "But I run everywhere," she explains.
Kataera was a runner and a very fast walker, she kept her arms against her chest, since it was for balance reasons and also she didn't like to use her hand to walk like Chiron stated was what her species did.
"I know right!" Kataera beamed, she was honestly proud of this place, it was her home and she loved it.
“I didn’t think anywhere was near as beautiful as home, but this is a close second,” Sasha admitted, she wanted to twirl and run around in the manicured grass, it was so green and looked inviting. There were several trees to sprawl out under, and benches here and there. “I have to say, I’m impressed,” She told Kataera, Sasha tried to keep up with Kataera, she was walking quite fast, and Sasha was quite short and didn’t normally walk that fast. “So are the dorms as nice as the property?” She asked, if not a bit breathless. Her mind was absorbing the beautiful landscape and the buildings that looked like they were from some Victorian novel.
"Where do you live?" Kataera asked, she was quite curious, and it was clear Kataera didn't have the same etiquette teachings that Sasha had been given.
She smiled as Sasha complimented the grounds, they were her personal place to speed time since they were perfect for running. Kataera was quite tall and so she picked up Sasha and set her on her back so that she didn't need to worry about keeping up.
"I would say they are quite nice," she states, since she thought hers was nice.
Sasha pondered on what to say, but this girl was going to be her roommate, shouldn’t she be truthful with her? She sucked in a breath and said, “Neverland. And London, I grew up half and half. My dad, Peter Pan, he wanted me to experience his life in Neverland, while my mom, Wendy, wanted me to have somewhat of a normal life, though it was really just filled with private tutors and being read fairy tales.” Sasha thought it probably sounded strange to anyone that hadn’t lived it, but she had loved her life before, even if it didn’t have as much adventure as she would have liked. Sasha giggled slightly when she was picked up and put on Kataera’s back, “This is amazing, thank you,” She’d never ridden on the back of anything, so this was a whole other experience for her.
"That's cool," Kataera said looking over her shoulder, "I've never heard of that place, but I've heard of London," she said.
She listened to Sasha talked, she thought to was interesting and it was very new to her.
"Of course," she said.
Sasha was a little shocked, “You’ve never heard of Neverland? Home of the lost boys?’ She thought that everyone had heard of her home away from home. Apparently not though, “Maybe you could go with me sometime,” She said a bit excited, she’d never had a friend to take home before. All of her friends were Lost boys and they already lived there. What would her parents thing? She would definitely have to write them. Ask if it was okay to bring a friend home on break. They would probably be just as excited as she was, or at least her dad would be. Her mom would probably worry some, but it would be okay. Her mom was always nervous about Captain Hook kidnapping children, it was just a fear that came with the gig. “Are we almost there?” She asked hesitantly. She didn’t want Kataera to feel like she was bugging her.
"No sorry, I haven't," she said.
As she suggested that she come she got a little excited, no one had asked her to join them, apparently, she was a bit strange to everyone else.
"I think that would be awesome," she Kataera smiled. "And yes," "Here we are!" she announced and opened the door to the female dorms.
The drive had been long, Alger sat in the small van. He sat next to their aunt, she was a small woman, and she wasn't really their aunt, they were just told to call her that. Andronika sat in the best seat her face in a book, and Alger could already guess which one, or have a good guess. It was a romance for sure, she had an obsession with them. He watched her ocean blue eyes dart from one side of the page and down a line, again and again he watched it repeat.
"Don't you get bored of those?" he asked her.
Andronika looked up at her brother, she closed her book and stuck her tongue out at him. Their aunt had to put a firm hand on his shoulder, so he wouldn't lung at her from the front seat.
"Nope," she says.
She was younger yes, but she did know how to make her brother twitch in his seat. Just a few simple works, or actions and her brother was already on his feet, his temper was the only thing she found troublesome with him. Alger was yes, less protective over her, but he was also more rough with her.
The car drove up to the school, and Andronika was the first to jump out, she wore her favorite outfit since it was there first day back (view spoiler). Holding her book in hand she watched Alger climb out and help their aunt take out their duffel-bags, he looked a bit cheerful being here but she could feel his emotions for the people on a low.
"Come on," "It will be fun," she said, to him, putting her arm in his.
"Like last year was fun," Alger replied sarcastically, having gotten over the quite to end fight in the car.
Their aunt put them into a strong embrace, which Andronika returned happily, and Alger did reluctantly.
"Don't cause trouble, be good," she warned both of them, as she climbed back into the white car.
"I won't, no promises for him," Andronika replied jerking her thumb at her brother.
Alger gave her a scowl and knocked her over the head, getting a frown from their aunt, who drove off. The twins were left to their own devices,
"Race you," Andronika said and was already gone,
Alger ran after her with a laugh and both were running along the grass as their bags were taken inside by the staff. The youngest children of Aries and Aphrodite were back for their 4th year, and personally couldn't wait.
The twins stepped into the school,
"I won," Andronika boasted, and got a scowl from Alger.
"You did, wanna keep that up?" he asked her,
"No I'm good," she said, smiling.
The two laughed, and Alger put an arm over her shoulder, and Andronika put an arm around his waist. The twins were clearly twins, both of them having blue eyes and brown hair.
Hannah clenched her hand into a fist and then released it, revealing a small flower on her palm, nice and rosy pink. It's petals were perfectly round, and in one swoop, the dark-haired 17 year old crushed it. It was just an illusion, but it made her feel better, destroying things like that. Her father nudged her in the back from where they stood behind a bush outside the school. "Go on, Hannah. Go show them who you are."
Hannah turned and glared up at her father. "I don't want this. You want this, just because--" she couldn't finish her sentence, and shook her head, angry. Her green eyes took in her father's face, and she could see some hesitation there, but not much.
"This is what's best," he stated. "I have to go now."
Hannah clenched her jaw and picked up her bags that hasn't been delivered already to her room.
"Fine." She had her father's most desired treasure in her bag, and he didn't know that. That's what he got, sending her here. Without another look back, she headed up the steps.
"I love you," her father called.
"No you don't." Hannah turned to see him hesitate, shake his head, and then turn and walk towards where they'd come from, back away from the school ground.
She hugged and turned back around, seeing two people who looked to be related running along the outside grass, one laughing.
Hannah wrinkled her nose as they went inside, and she followed.
The twins looked around Andronika was mostly seeing a romance before her eyes, the people and the red strings linking people together. It was like a web and she had to smile,
"I love this place," she said, breathlessly.
"Your a sap, you know that," Alger commented elbowing her,
"But you love me," she said, meaning in a family and siblings way.
He rolled his eyes, not wanting to reply to that, he looked around quite a few people and he wasn't seeing what she was. Alger was seeing how people acted, a few he made notes to keep his overly trusting and loving sister away from.
Hannah entered the Great Hall after whoever the two in front of her were. She stood against a wall, having heard they were supposed to wait for someone to bring them their schedule. As she waited, she watched them interact. Ugh, lovers? She never understood the desire to be with someone, and at least looking at humans, she didn't know why they bothered. Mortals died, so what was the point of a relationship anyway?
She caught sight of the boy looking around at different people, and she locked eyes with him when he happened to look at her.
