You can find your favorite coffee here~
Josiah Frost stood outside the cafe, he leaned on the glass window, this time he was wearing sky blue converse. He wasn't enjoying the shoes on his feet, but outside of school he knew people would look at him funny. Josiah may seem like a person that didn't care much, but he very much so cared about how other people saw him.
Bailee strode to the cafe, she was wearing a light blue sweatshirt that had no hoodie. She wore ripped jeans that was a soft blue denim color. Her hair was in a simple bun that was in the middle of the back of her head. It was loose and it wasn't like she disliked her hair being loose, it was just that it wasn't formal. She was trained to always wear formal wear. SHe smiled seeing Josiah. "Hey," Bailee said, walking over to him.
Josiah waved, he shifted on his feet and moved in his leaning position.
"Nice outfit," he complimented, Josiah liked sky blue and it was the color of all his clothing.
He had a bit of white and black, but mostly sky blue.
Bailee smiled and looked down at his feet. She bit her lip, "You wore shoes?" She asked, a sweet smile on her face. She couldn't believe that she had actually agreed to go on the date with him, but he seemed sweet enough.
"I did," he said with a smile.
He wasn't exactly happy with his choice, since his feet would be covered in blisters later, and he wasn't looking forward to the pain of that. But he knew that if he didn't, they wouldn't get service, so this was worth it. In a way.
"Have you ever thought of maybe getting a bigger size of shoe? That would maybe fit your foot size?" Bailee asked, walking over to the door of the cafe and pulling it open, and then realizing that it said pushed, she shook her head and then pushed the door open. Walking inside and holding the door open for Josiah.
"Actually, this are too big for my feet," he said with a laugh, putting a hand on his neck.
He held the door open so she didn't need to for him and followed her inside. He looked at the menu and considered what he should get.
Bailee smiled, "Then how is it painful to wear them?" She asked, a smile forming on her face. She looked up at the menu wondering what to get. She bit her lip. And then nodded her head, knowing exactly what she was going to get.
"I don't wear them enough," Josiah replied.
He decided to get an ice coffee, since he didn't like warm drinks all that much, they weren't his favorite if he was being honest.
"What are you getting?" he asked her.
Bailee nodded, "Uh...the Iced White Chocolate Mocha. The chocolate blocks out the bitterness of the coffee," Bailee commented, a smile forming on her face.
He nodded,
"I guess that's true," Josiah personally liked the bitterness of coffee.
But he had coffee from a young age and this bitterness didn't bug him anymore. So now it was just the part of it being warm, so he liked ice coffee.
Bailee nodded, "What about you? What are you getting?" She asked, walking up to the counter, "I'll have the Iced White Chocolate Mocha and he will have the...." She trailed off waiting for Josiah's answer. She had no intention of him paying.
"Umm iced coffee," he said simply to the lady at the counter, "I can pay," he offered, "I'm the one that asked you out," he said.
He was trying to say that he was the one that should pay, trying to be a decent person was his main plan.
"Well I'm not the type of girl that lets the boy pay for her food," Bailee said, striking. "Here," Bailee said, handing the woman on the counter the money to pay for both drinks. Bailee wore a smile as she walked back to stand next to Josiah.
He looked at her,
"I assume you prefer to be independent," he comments.
He sat down at a table and pushed out a chair with the tip of his shoe for Bailee.
Bailee nodded, "I guess. Its nice at times to be romanced though, but this isn't a huge date, so it is very much fine," Bailee said, sitting down in the chair opposite from him. After a few minutes, the lady came back with our drinks. Bailee took hers and sipped at it.
Josiah nodded, and once their drinks came he thanked the lady and took a small sip. Holding it with both hands, his mannerisms were strange, but he seemed to be fine otherwise.
Bailee smiled up at Josiah as she drank her drink. She wondered what he was thinking. She wondered why Josiah even asked her on a date, it was a little confusing, but even more confusing that she agreed. She pursed her lips as she sipped at her Iced White Chocolate Mocha
He smiled back,
"So why did you come to the school?" he asked her, not really expecting and answer from her.
But he wouldn't mind if she didn't tell him, he just wouldn't share either.
"Forced to," She blurted out, she then smacked her head against the table, "Why is it so easy to talk to you? I cant even keep personal stuff personal," Bailee whisper-yelled.
He looked at her, keeping a calm expression.
"I have no idea, but thanks for sharing I guess," he replied.
Josiah wasn't going to share unless she asked, so he took another sip of cold coffee.
Bailee shook her head and went back to sipping at her coffee, "What about you?" She asked, studying him.
"I didn't want to stay at home," he said.
It had been partly a lie, that was only half of it, but he didn't care. He took another sip and looked back up at her.
"Do, do you want to get out of here and maybe got to the park or something?" Bailee asked, folding her hands together.
"Sure," he said, and jumped up he was almost done his drink.
Taking the last few sips he puts it in the garbage can and walked back over to Bailee, offering a hand to her.
Bailee took his hand and finished her drink, throwing it in the garbage. She smiled, her cheeks a light, rosy, pink.
"To the park I guess," he said, and smiled at her.
He walked towards the door holding it open for her and they headed towards the park.
(Want me to post first? Or you?)
Bailee smiled and walked out of the cafe, she waited for Josiah and they walked to the park together.
Josiah reached the door first, he sat down on the curb of the path leading up the cafe. Taking out his shoes and socked he put them on tying his shoes with a bit of a struggle.
Bailee shook her head, coming in second. SHe panted real quick before, sitting down next to Josiah, "All good?" She asked.
"Yup," "You?" he asked and stood up.
He swung his bag over his shoulder and shifted it a bit, for it to be more comfortable.
Bailee nodded and stood up, she walked over to the door and held it open for Josiah, a large smile on her face.
"Thanks," he said stepping inside, and held the door for her to follow, closing it after them.
He mentally wondered if he should get something to eat, he was hungry anyway.
Bailee smiled and followed him into the cafe, she bit her lip thinking of what she was going to have.
Josiah looked at all the desserts he could choose from and settled with a chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream.
"What are you getting?" he asked Bailee.
"Just a Caramel Frappuccino, please," Bailee said with a smile.
Once their orders were taken Josiah paid and lead the way to their table. He sat down sitting normally for the first time, and waited for their food to come.
Bailee sat across from him. She played with her hands, eventually looking down at them.
"So this is awkward," he says, with a bit of a chuckle.
He rubbed the back of his neck, and looked at her, with a smile on his face.
"Yeah, a little," Bailee agreed, looking up at him and giving Josaih a small smile.
"So like what was life for you?" he asked, he was simply curious.
He also didn't see the harm in asking, and it was fine if she didn't tell him, it was her business, not his. He respected that.
"Bailee looked up, "What do you mean?" She asked, honestly there were many different ways that she could go with the way he asked the question, but she wanted to start telling the truth now, and not the half-truth or a lie. She smiled.
"Well like-" he tried to think of how to word it, "Did you have a relationship with your parents and were things hard or easy?" he decided to say.
Bailee bit her lip, "Um...well... life with having a mother that was the strongest avenger and then a father that wasn't even human was difficult, but to top it off I had a twin sister." Bailee said, shaking her head at the thought, a small smile was pushed on her face as she thought of her sister, "I messed up big time, a little while ago, that's why they sent me here and my sister is at the New York Base," Bailee added, looking down at her hands, her smile was gone.
"Hey," he put out his hand offering to hold hers, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring anything bad up," he apologized.
Josiah looked at her with now gentle and caring brown eyes, he hadn't looked at someone like this for a long time.
She gave him her hand, "No, it's not your fault! It's just a-" She trailed off, she switched topics, "If you don't mind me asking, how is your relationship?" She asked, her voice gentle.
He just smiled and looked at her with a friendly expression. No more secrets, he told himself,
"Well we could say rough with both of my parents," he says, open to more questions.
Bailee nodded, "We both are sappy stories, huh?" SHe said with a small laugh.
