Keefe is my all time favorite character of any books and I wish I knew a person like that in real life!

ok y'all i just...so Keefe used to be my favorite character but I want to know if anyone else experienced this change.
First off I think that his backstory gets better as the book series go on but his actual actions and mannerisms got worse and more... stupid and cookiecutter. Unlocked was AWFUL. I skipped his entire registry because it was so cringey. Does anyone else think that Ms. Messenger has started to simply write something more and more obnoxious everytime he speaks? Like in the first book he was funny... and now that's all he is when he actually does anything and it makes him look flat and dull but also frustratingly annoying.
Second, as I've gotten older I've tolerated him less and less. When I was a wee child in early middle school I LOVED Keefe... but now I'm 17 and I can't stand whenever he opens his mouth because he still speaks so "young" even though he is "highschool" age.
Is it just me? Because it annoys the heck out of me :((

Interesting. Keefe's not my favorite, but I do like him and he's only about 15-16. I know boys irl that's his age and act "young" like him. So it always felt accurate to me. But at the same time, it's not like he doesn't has his serious moments either.

True, some people Keefe's age do act like that. I feel like they're not the type of people I like to hang out with because immaturity has never been something I tolerated with my highschool friends. But the people I know are either just normal human beings, or basically toddlers- worse than Keefe.
Part of it just how a lot of high school boys act too accept keefe is way better.
I think he also acts the way he does because he didn't really have a good childhood, so he's acting the way he would have when he was younger

His parents just realize that he is more spectacular than they could EVER be.

I would die for Keefe! I’m just SO into him! Even though sometimes he acts a bit selfish he does make up for it by being selfless! And I also hate Keefe with all my heart. I don’t know why though. Strange huh?
