I may be interested if anyone is looking for a buddy. Not sure I have any active suggestions myself at the moment though.
If you haven’t read it yet I’ll try a volume with you Jenny. If it’s something you’ve read already I’d probably pass or do something that’s new to both of us.
Yen Press is actually releasing these in official audiobook format starting in September. Not suggesting we wait just excited by the news. I’m glad Yen Press is gonna start dabbling in audiobooks. I love my Audible account and more Light Novels would be a welcome edition.
But yeah long story short sure I’ll read that with you assuming you haven’t read it already yourself.

Not yet, I have all 12 and just started volume 1, I'll wait for you before reading any more of it!
Go ahead and read away I’ll snatch it up on Kindle and try to jump into it a bit today. If you want go ahead and start a new topic up so we can move discussion to there and see if anyone else wants to join. If you’d rather I create it just let me know. Should be fun.
is anybody interested im buddying up for tokyo revengers ? i fell off of the anime and heard so many good things about the manga. lmk whoever is interested !!
I’ve got the first 3 as well from a Humble Bundle so I’ll join you for the first volume at least.
You absolutely may. Though like Jenny it’ll be a couple days before I can get on it. Either tomorrow or more likely Monday for me.
Fancy reading something a bit different to my usual and wondered if anyone fancied buddy reading either Eyeshield 21 or Food Wars!: Shokugeki no soma?

That one does sound interesting. I probably won't jump on it until there's at least a volume out. I'm not good at keeping up with things chapter by chapter.
Do you know if it's a weekly? Or how often the releases are?

I'll buddy read a light novel series with someone. I've read a lot of manga but, from what I've had a chance to read, light novels are excellent. I recently got into Bakemonogatari, I've read 1 book into Reincarnated as a Slime, and I'm about 4 books into No Game, No Life. Would be interested to start ANY light novel series.
Depending on which light novel you choose I may join in so long as I’m not over extending myself.
Greg wrote: "I’m currently reading Reincarnated as a Slime 12"I have 12 volumes of that. I'm caught up on manga but I've heard the light novels were gold.
I’ve really been enjoying the novels. I read them before the anime and it really ruined the anime for me. Rimiru is just so obnoxiously childish in the anime and they skip so much. In the novel he has his moments but for the most part he acts like the middle aged man he’s supposed to be.
It still suffers from the typical isekai trappings. Characters are overpowered as fuck. The main party never takes any significant losses. However the world building and politicking is too notch. Some volumes are definitely slower than others but I mostly love the cast, though it is way too big, and the world.

It's one of my favorite series (anime/light novel/manga) ever.
Sweet! I have up to volume 7- I love the covers- cuteness overload:):) I'll make a thread in a bit!

I just bought a Milim statue and a Rimiru coffee mug from the mall today....
I'll join you guys on Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear. At least for the first volume anyway. It may be a little too sugary for me.
I watched the anime but they must have skipped a ton if the anime covers 5 freaking volumes in 12 episodes.

Must be a ton of inner dialog and exposition then.

Anybody else buy the two kodanshia Humble Bundles this year, or the award winner from last and wanna buddy something from one of em? Or even the whole bundle LOL
I’ve picked up most of them and wouldn’t mind doing a more thorough buddy read. Depends on the title I guess. What did you have in mind?
Right now, I have To Your Eternity loaded on kindle, but I'm also interested in Air Gear and Parasyte
Jenny wrote: "Anyone want to jump back into Overlord light novels with me? I've only read the first so far!"
I've been wanting to read overlord for a while, but I haven't read the first one so I'd have to read that to catch up to where your are

I'm working through a few books myself right now, so if you want go ahead and read the first and then let me know if you want to continue :)
Sounds good! I just got the first volume today, so hopefully I'll be picking it up soon.
