Boys dorm hall
Valerie walked down the hall, staring at the map on her phone with earbuds in. She glanced to the side, looking for a certain name.
The boys hall was busy with boys coming and going, half of them pulling trunks behind them as they moved into their new dormitories. Ollie avoided the other boys, for the most part. There were a few that said a hello, he muttered his replies as he made his way to his own dormitory. He wondered who would be his roommate. If he would even have one. There wasn’t one the year before, so it wouldn’t surprise him to not have one again, he knew he was a pain in the ass, but honestly? He didn’t care. Ollie pushed past a fairly big 6th year and turned down the hall to run smack into a girl, of all things. “What the? It’s a bit early to be sneaking over to the boys dorm, don’t you think?” He asked with a grin. Pretty girl, boys dorm, there could only be one reason she was there, she was making out with some guy.
"I'm not sneaking over here" she told him, slightly annoyed. "I'm just looking for someone" Valerie glared at him. "If you hadn't been in my way, I'm sure I would have found him by now and we would be having this conversation." She put her right hand on her hip and flipped her hair over her shoulder with the other.
Ollie looked at her doubtfully, he wasn’t one to trust others easily. “You expect me to believe that you’re not sneaking over here to visit some boy just to make out with him?” Ollie knew better than to think a girl was over to just visit, he would be naive to believe that. He crossed his own arms over his chest, raising a brow at her as he took his own stance.
"Um... Ew no! One, I'm not that stupid. Kissing is much better hidden in the back of a library or behind a building. Not in a dorm room with who knows what smells exist in it. Two, I'm trying to find my brother." She rolled her eyes. "I hadn't seen him for a while" Valerie said, shrugging. Huh, she thought, I'm a better liar than I thought.
Oh it was her brother she was over to see, that or she was using him as an excused to see all of the guys in the dorm hall. Or maybe her brother would have a hot roommate. Ollie thought the worst of people, it was just the way his mind worked. “Who’s your brother then?” He asked, wanting confirmation that what said was true. “Because maybe I can help you find him,” it was probably a false offer. Ollie doubted he would even know her brother considering he didn’t mingle all that much.
"Christopher Gothel" she said simply. Yes that was her brother, but not the reason she was here. "I doubt you know him. He doesn't get out that much."
“No clue who that is, in really doubting you right now princess. Do you want to give me a better reason as to why you’re here?” He stepped forward, invading her bubble. “We could always have a good time? I have a room right down the hall,” Ollie smirked, coming onto the second girl he’d seen today, yeah it had to be A new record.
"Princess?" She repeated. "Don't even start that" Valerie glared at him. "I don't even know your name and anyways I'm not that kind of girl. So you can back off"
Ollie rose both brows, she was feisty. “Alright, whatever, Princess. But you have no idea what you’re missing out on,” he bowed and gave her room to pass. “I still think you’re lying about something though. “ he wasn’t going to let her go with thinking that he believed her excuse of coming to her brother.
"Whatever" she replied, pushing past him. "And I'm about as far as a princess you can get." That was easy, she thought. Maybe to easy. He doesn't seem like the kind of person to just stop.
Ollie almost let her slide past, but caught her wrist just as she was passing, “Princesses can be all sorts of people, you shouldn’t just assume you couldn’t be one.” He let go of her wrist, letting it fall to her side. “You should think about getting to know people a little bit,” Ollie leaned his back against the wall and watched her with careful eyes, “You and I? Never gonna happen, not after you turned me down, not even if you begged me. But we could be, friends? Girls like you need guy friends like me, we’ll make sure nobody messes with you.”
((This is getting interesting....))"Um... If I beg you? The day I beg for anything from the male kind, is the day the world goes down in flames. And friend wise, you better get that personality checked out before I even think to be friends with the likes of you" She smirked. "But..." she started, "if all boys here are like you, I might need to not be enemys with you"
Ollie raised a brow, she was interesting, he might want to keep her around just for that smart mouth. “Not all boys, but there are worse. So keeping me around would probably be the best thing.” Ollie leaned in closer, his breath almost on her face, “You should think about who you should have in your back pocket and who you should keep at bay. You may not think much of the male population but we come in handy now and then. Since I come from the underworld, well I’d be an asset.” Ollie was the master of invading peoples spaces and making them feel uncomfortable.
"Should I keep you at bay?" Valerie narrowed her eyes. "This isn't a 'keep your friends close and you enemies closer' kind of thing is it? If it is, I'll have you begging for mercy in seconds." Her right hand twitched, ready to pull out a dagger any time.
“Keep me at bay? That would be a mistake,” Ollie grinned, “This is definitely not one of those. I just think... we could make things, lets say, interesting?” He was tempted to put an arm around her waist, but he didn’t think she’d allow it. Ollie didn’t know how to exactly make friends, especially with girls. He’d only ever used them in the past for his own pleasure. But now he was trying, the key word, trying. He wasn’t sure if he was actually succeeding or not. “Have me at your mercy in what way exactly? Is this like a flirtation? Or are you threatening my life?’
"Interesting how?" she asked. "As for the second part, which do you think I mean?" This was getting boring. She rolled her eyes. "I could cut you up in seconds and wipe that grin off your face. Don't think I wouldn't because I'm a girl."
“We could be friends, friends with benefits?” He laughed lightly, “Kidding of course. Wow I don’t think I’ve been threatened in such few minutes in my entire life. Though a demon did threaten to cut off my tongue once for talking about his mother. Poor guy, I had to unfortunately demote him and send him on his way,” Ollie took a few steps back, “Princess think about my offer. It has an expiration date on it, don’t think that I’ll stay around waiting forever.”
"I'll think about it. You'll have you answer in 10 minutes. My dorm" She thought for a moment. "With the door open." Demons? Must've had an interesting childhood.... Valerie turned and started to walk away.
“10 minutes? Alright... I’ll find you. What’s your dorm number?” He hadn’t planned on going over to the girls dorm till later. But he’d make an exception if it meant dallying with this chick again. “Or do you want to give me your number,” he gave her a sly look before fishing his phone out of his pocket.
"Room number 6 I think. Lets wait on the phone number thing for now... I do not trust you that much yet." Or at all ,she thought
Oliver gave her the salute and walked off, he needed to go to his own dorm anyway. Then he would meander down to the girls dorms. He had plans on hanging out near there to see if any parties were going down, he was always up for one of those.
Val smirked as he walked away. After she decides what to do about what's-his-face, she'll have to actually visit her brother. She looked back one more time and sauntered away.
Andronika pulled open the door to the dormitories for the boys, she didn't want to got to hers since she assumed that was where Hannah would be going. She passed groups of boys, avoiding all of them, it was interesting since here she could see the strings but not who they led too. The saddest thing she had seen that day had been a boy and girl making out, but their strings didn't meet, and for Andronika this was heart breaking.
Alger was fiddling with the lock on his door, when she put her arms around him.
"How's it going?" she asked him.
"Decent," he replied looking over his shoulder.
Andronika was trying to tell Alger about her conversation with Hannah when Markus walked down the hallway.
"Okay, and you sure, you didn't make her more angry," Alger questioned.
"I probably did, but she can't say stuff like that about what she calls mortals," she replies.
"You could weird her out with your string thing," "Try and find who she is destined to be with," he suggested.
Andronika nodded, she thought it would be a bit funny, but she didn't need her roommate hating her even more.
Andronika jumped a bit, having not noticed him, Alger looked over.
"Hey, you good?" he asked, holding out a hand to Mark.
Andronika ran over, she looked at him, smiling. She was tiny compared to her brother, but it was clear they were related, both having brown hair and bright ocean blue eyes.
Andronika patted her brother on the shoulder,
"Nice talking to you," she said to Alger, and ran out the door.
She was heading to her dorm, she was curious about how Hannah had done her room. Andronika had no idea what awaited her, when she entered the door.
Alger pulled him up easily,
"Sorry for my sister," he apologizes watching her run off.
He worried about her and how quick to act she was, but at least she acted for the better not worse.
"Oh it's fine," "She was just relaying a conversation," he said.
Alger sighed, he moved from foot to foot, he ran a hand through his hair.
"First year?" he asked.
(alright)
"I see, well I'm Alger, a fourth year," he said.
He offered a smile, Alger seemed like a decent person.
Alger nodded,
"The same to you Markus Dameron," he replied.
Alger looked around and nodded to a small group of boys that walked past, Alger wasn't popular but his swordsmanship was something he was known for.
"Oh no really," "I honestly didn't want to hear the rest," he said, "You saved me from a long boring story," he added.
He really hadn't wanted to listen to the rest, it would have made him snap at her and she would have snapped back then things would go insane.
"I guess so," "But seriously, thanks for saving me from my sister, you should do it more often," he says with a laugh.
"Anyway, nice talking to you," Alger replied, and walked off with a wave. Heading to find Andronika, sure she could be annoying but he didn't trust her roommate. For good reason.
Rowan nodded. "Yeah, that could work. And I know...I'm sorry he's hitting on you. I think what I've gathered is even after someone turns him down, he still doesn't get the hint." He stood his head, running a hand through his red hair. "I can't even imagine what that's like."
"Its not your fault. I've had to deal with that kind of person before" Valerie shook her head. "But hey, thats life, right? I can't choose who hits on me and doesn't "
Ollie rolled his eyes, "You know I'm right here right?" He pulled out his phone and took a picture of himself before posting it on Instagram. He hash tagged it, #lonelyboy #needcuddles #wheresmygirlsat. Ollie was not used to leaving a party and not having a girl leave with him, this was a first for him.
"Right, but we can try and change the jerks who hit on women," Rowan muttered, and then looked at Ollie. "Yeah, so? Oh, what are you doing?" He stated crossly.
"Oh you are? Im sorry we forgot about you" she said to Ollie, fake pouting."Yeah. Lets hope we can change this on here" she smiled.
"Forgot about me?" He put his hand to his chest, "That breaks my heart princess. Rowan I was just posting a picture," Ollie rolled his eyes, blatantly annoyed by the two of them. Mostly he was annoyed that he wouldn't be sleeping with a girl in his arms that night.
Rowan snickered once despite himself, at Valerie's words. He knew it was mean to do that to Ollie, but honestly, the guy was a jerk. "And Ollie, stop being a jerk."
"Whatever" she rolled her eyes once more. That seemed to be what she did lately. Most boys were stupid. "How many times have I told you to not call me princess? "
“Why not? At least it’s entertaining,” Ollie gave a smirk, “Fiiiine. Let’s go back to the dorm, where I’ll be forever to sleep. Unless you’re up for gaming again? I didn’t even get to drink tonight!” He half whined the last part. He was really annoyed with how the party went, he figured next time he and Rowan should host it, they’d throw a wild one.
