(So I double-tap the image I want to get the option of copy, paste etc. I click copy then paste onto Goodreads, to get this <.img src="https://i.pinimg.com/236x/6a/5f/41/6a..." alt=" "/> Of course I don't want it to long or it won't work, and the dot at the beginning between the < and img isn't there.)

(Also if you want Cal and Pearl to meet Rin, she's in the commons)

message 6: by elizabeth (new)

elizabeth (rebelkitten12) ((thanks! I'll try that))

((Okay! I'll see where they end up after the party, and if they end up going back to their dorm then we should have them meet the next day))

Rin unlocked her door to her dorm, the other girl had her dorm set up, but Rin's was completely empty. She walked over to her bed and quickly started to clean up around her area, putting her things into her desk and moving her empty bag under her bed. Putting white sheets on her bed she sat down, looking up at the ceiling.
"Well this is just like home," she said, her tone dead and bored.

elizabeth (rebelkitten12) ((sorry I've tried to get the image up, I'm still having problems))

The door opened about an hour later, and Abigail Turner walked inside. Her blonde hair was up in a tangled ponytail, and she had a collection of art supplies in her arms--papers, books, paintbrushes, and a pallet. Her smock covered a sunny yellow dress, rumpled and almost nothing like her personality to most people.
She closed the door behind her and turned, then froze. A dark haired girl was laying on the other bed, on a less decorated side or the room. Her roommate.
Abigail gave her a curt nod, and set her stuff down on her desk.

(It's fine) (You probably could write a description and no one would really mind, I know I wouldn't)

Rin sat up quickly, very alert, she rested her arms on her knees. Her body slouched, she watched the girl carefully, with calculating eyes. Yet her head tilted, this girl was dressed like a girl who didn't have a care in the world, but her expression and nod gave her a sense that the outfit was covering something. Rin nodded back and lay back down on her bed.

elizabeth (rebelkitten12) ((hmm okay, I may do that thanks))

Abigail began to settle her things in, placing unused paper into drawers and used paintbrushes atop her pallet, knowing she'd need to wash them later.
She heard her roommate move, and turned over her shoulder to look at her. Part of her believed she should say something, the part of her that had been raised to be polite to her, but the other part of her, the part that had also been raised to be defensive and the part of her that had learned to be, didn't want to be polite. So she determined not to, and kept moving her things around.
When she finished, she removed her smock and rolled it up, tossing it inside her closet, where she had a bag for her dirty laundry, and then washed her hands at the sink, turning the water a dark purple from the paint on her hands.

"Not even a hello?" Rin said, she didn't look at the girl, but continued to stare up at the ceiling.
It wasn't clear if Rin was joking, her tone was dead serious, yet the words were like those of a friend from long ago. The mask muffled Rin's voice slightly, but it was barely noticeable, with the power in the Japanese girl's voice. When Rin turned her head to looked at Abigail she continued to look at her with almost gold eyes,
"Your Abigail, are you not?" she asked.

message 13: by elizabeth (new)

elizabeth (rebelkitten12) Abigail turned around and shut the sink off; her brows furrowed at the mask. "I am," she stated slowly. "On the other hand I don't remember your name. I looked once but got too busy to agonize over it." After drying her hands, she walked back to her bed and sat down at the edge of it, a hairbrush next to her.

"Well that's good," Rin said, it wasn't a random person in her room, but then again Abigail was a new person and knew people couldn't be trusted.
"I'm Rin Chisaki," she said, deciding not to take offence.
Normally she would, but then again she would also dismember someone if they said this to her. School was terrible, she couldn't do what she wanted.

message 15: by elizabeth (new)

elizabeth (rebelkitten12) "Oh, right." Abigail began to remove the hair tie from her hair, and when she did, combed through her blonde waves with her fingers before taking her brush up. "Are you sick?" She asked with a nod towards the mask.

She looked at the girl, then frowned slightly, this only being visible if the girl watched, Rin's brows.
"No," "I just don't want to breath the air of everyone else," she said, it was clear Rin had an ego.
She sat up, she adjusted the gloves on her hands, since they had moved on her hands revealing her palms. Which she didn't want to touch anything she hadn't cleaned, since she didn't feel like breaking out in rashes.

message 17: by elizabeth (new)

elizabeth (rebelkitten12) Abigail almost laughed at that. "Well, that's normal," she stated, completely sarcastic, and laid back on her bed. She couldn't believe it, her roommate had gloves, too. Abigail was used to dirt and filth, and she'd never gotten sick once. It wasn't like she didn't take cleanliness seriously; it's just when you're on a ship, sometimes cleanliness wasn't the priority.

The fast was she didn't only wear the gloves for her own germophobic reasons, but that if her hands made contact with anything it would disassemble. Often quite violently, but this depended on her mood.

But yes, Rin did take cleanliness seriously, she'd grown up with that being something important to her. Plus she struggled with the fact that the air and people in the world were horrible, and she didn't want to breathe their air.
"I think, I'm done here," Rin said, she stood up and made her way towards the door.

message 19: by elizabeth (new)

elizabeth (rebelkitten12) Abigail lifted a hand almost lazily. "Sounds like a plan." Other than her family, Abigail was not a people person. Sure, she'd been the most cheerful child when she was small, running all over and picking flowers for her mom, but she'd always been butter at her dad, and had eventually become so upset shed started engaging in piracy.
And having a crew had been nice, but she never did quite enjoy the rowdiness; her family, she loved, even if she was pissed at her dad. One friend, yes. But time had shown again and again that other people could be jerks, and if people bothered her, why would she engage them in conversation? Being alone was much better.

Rin didn't respond, she just turned the doorknob and opened the door closing it behind her without a second thought. She wasn't a people person either, frankly, they had disappointed her too many times, to let them have a second chance. Her mind went to places where she could gather her thoughts or rather let off her negative energy, she needed to calm down.

message 21: by elizabeth (new)

elizabeth (rebelkitten12) Abigail watched her leave and rolled her eyes. Rin was afraid of breathing in peoples' air? Where was she from, some distant planet where everyone had their own cubicle of freshly-squeezed air or something?
She snorted once and then sat up, digging out her sketchbook. Part of her knew it was mean, but she determined to spoof-draw her high-minded roommate.

(I feel like Rin is making a terrible name for herself)

message 23: by elizabeth (new)

elizabeth (rebelkitten12) ((yeah I don't think it's going super great...and I kinda realized most of my characters will dislike her...though I could see her and Hannah getting along))

(perhaps, or they will start a fight with each other, I also realize my own characters would hate her too)

message 25: by elizabeth (new)

elizabeth (rebelkitten12) ((ooh or that. Though, granted Abigail can be a jerk, Hannah is horrible, and Cole is...questionable. And Cal has anger issues and Alya and Cal are not afraid to hit someone. Bobbi will just watch and run away))

Rin opened the door to her dorm, she sighed and sat down on her bed. The white sheet plain and boring, which she didn't entirely mind, it helped that she didn't own much anyway. Her side of the room had no decorations, just her bed, and clothing put away on her desk.
While she lay staring at the ceiling, she felt a message come through in her jacket pocket. Pulling out her phone she unlocked it and saw it was from an unknown number, opening the message she read it.

(view spoiler)

Rin was tempted to text back a dark reply, but changed her mind, deciding that would only help them track her. Blinking she groaned, wanting only to go back to her musty apartment and aid that needy Kai, her father. She considered many things in her mind, which all felt like a mess, taking a small and silent calming breath she organized her thoughts.
