It's time for August's nominations! There is no theme this month. Books we haven't read in the past three years are eligible for nomination. They must be written by a woman and published at least 50 years ago. Please let me know if you can lead.

Nominations ends June 15th

I vote 'Jane Eyre' by Charlotte Bronte. I like that book a great deal - it is romantic and has a very good storyline. Thank you.

Suzann | 66 comments Hello. My name is on the list to vote, but clicking on Polls, I don't get any polls from 2021. Any guidance? Suzann

We don't use a Poll unless there is a tie. Just either e-mail me back your choice or just post it in this discussion thread. Either way, I will get it and put your name on the paper under the book of your choice.

To be eligible to vote this month, you need to participate in the book discussions. So commenting in the discussion threads for any book we read between June 2020 to this month's book So Big (or any of the Coronavirus buddy reads) would allow you to be eligible to vote for August.

Did you want to be the discussion leader?

If you are leading, what discussion threads would you like set up for you?

Charlene Morris | 1511 comments Mod
I will get the discussion threads up tomorrow. Is there any preference; right now I am going between splitting the book up in the 3 parts or a spoiler/ non spoiler thread?

message 25: by ☯Emily , The First (new)

☯Emily Ginder | 1473 comments Mod
How about three parts?

Charlene Morris | 1511 comments Mod
The Jane Eyre discussion threads are posted.

I have to finish up my current book; then I can start reading this. But I will try to look up where parts begin/ end for everyone tonight.

Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ | 586 comments I'm at least a week away from being able to join in - busy few weeks! But this book will have my undivided attention when I get there! :)
