Kataera walked out from the female dorms, she took a deep breathe of warm air, letting it fill her lungs. Her paws made prints in the grass as she flexed them, her claws unsheathing and sheathing, while she stood. Since she had come outside for a small run, she started at a walking-run pace for her, which was sprinting for the average human. Her arms were held to her chest since, it was the most comfortable.

Normally a Zushenian would use their hands as well to help they get over rocks and act as a third set of legs in a addition to the paws. But it was flat ground, so holding her arms to her chest was safer and more stream line for running.

The air was warm, but not too warm, as Klaus made his way out onto the terrace. He was taking a break from trying to find his dorm. He glanced around, shocked he found someone running on the terrace. He rose both brows, she was, well beautiful. Her grace was unchallengeable, she had this way about her. “Damn,” he muttered while watching her, he didn’t know if it was rude to just watch her, he thought of that after a moment and looked away. He didn’t want to offend her, or get told off for stating. Though he wasn’t staring because she looked different, but because she was so graceful and gorgeous.

Kataera slowed down, she couldn't get the speed she would have liked on the terrace since it didn't have enough room for her to really start running. She turned her head while tying her hair back since it wasn't nice having in her face. Her eyes saw Klaus from across the field, he boy she could see had been watching her. It didn't upset her, but she decided that having nothing better to do she could introduce herself out of politeness. She ran over, her paws softly pressing into the grass,
"Hi, I'm Kataera," she said, holding out a hand to him.

Klaus was so busy not looking at the girl that he was a bit startled when she appeared before him and introduced herself. He looked up and put his hand out to shake hers, “Klaus,” He said in return, “Nice to meet you. Wow, you were pretty amazing out there,’ He nodded to the spread in front of them. “Sorry if I made you uncomfortable, I’ve just never seen anyone run like that. Even on Olympus...” He’d just given his parentage away, but he felt like this girl wouldn’t judge him like others might have. Kataera seemed like a pretty chill person already, so he relaxed some in her presence.

"Nice to meet you too, and thanks," she said, she smiled, "Oh it's fine, people stare at me often," she says.
By that she meant, by her strange appearance, Zushenian were very common in this area so she was used to people watching.
"Oh your from Olympus, which Olympian?" she asked, Kataera sat down on the grass, her height not changing as she sat down, other then a few centimetres.

Well that had to be awkward, people always staring, Klaus frowned some, he didn’t like that people did that. He took a breath though and released it as she spoke, he didn’t sit, feeling that that might make things weird, since she was so tall still. “My mother is Athena,” he replied, “She can be a bit bossy at times, and strict. But she has my best interest at heart,” I think He thought to himself. He really didn’t know, his mother had been so distant in his childhood. Klaus put his hands in his pockets, “Are you new here?” He asked curiously.

"Oh I think great grandfather Chiron had me meet her," she said, "She seemed decent to me, your lucky," Kataera complimented.
She had no idea about his past life, but had heard Athena had a child, she didn't think she'd ever meet them so this was a welcomed surprise.
"No," "It's my fourth year," she replied.

Klaus blinked in surprise “Oh. Wow...” He was a bit jealous that his mother would visit some stranger but couldn’t find the time to see him herself. “I haven’t seen her in a long time,” He murmured, “Oh really? Fourth year? I’ve been here a year, well a little over a year. I’m surprised we haven’t run into each other before this. What do you like to do around here? Last year I kind of kept to myself. This year I’d like to actually do things though,” He could count on his fingers the amount of times that he had gone off campus the year before. Things were going to change this year, he wouldn’t be bored off his ass.

"It was because Chiron couldn't figure out what I was," "And he needed help," she explained, trying to make him feel better.
She nodded, Kataera was here year round and never left campus, harder to hide her appearance to normal people if she was out in the open, but it did confuse her how they hadn't even seen each other.
"I often try to beat my speed record, or just wander," she said.
People didn't often try to go out of their way to talk to her, so she didn't try either. Besides, large groups weren't her thing, and parties weren't that appealing.

“Oh,” He felt bad for the jealousy that had zinged through him, he nodded in understanding. She said she just ran around or wandered. Did she not have friends? Well he didn’t either, so it wasn’t like he could judge her off of that. “Well I didn’t do anything last year, so I really want to explore, I heard there’s a beach and stuff. Might head down for some waves later. I know how to surf, so that would be fun...” He looked at her again, kind of mesmerized with how she was built and her beauty, “What are you up to right now? Wanna hang?”

Kataera shifted in her spot on the grass, her tail flicking from side to side at the tip, the small tuff of dark brown hair twitching in the small breeze. She hadn't tried surfing before, and she found it interesting that he did,
"Not much, so sure," she replied, offering a smile.

“Cool, so what’s life like with you? Do you go home on vacation?” He wanted to get to know her better. He would probably slowly tell her more about him if she was interested. Most people weren’t though, they saw him as a jerk and kept their distance. That was partially his fault though, he gave off that vibe, and sometimes did act like an idiot. He couldn’t blame people for keeping their distance when he acted like the world was against him and pushed everyone he met away.

"Pretty boring," she says, "I stay here year round," she replied.
Kataera didn't have a home, and Chiron couldn't stay her to Camp-Half blood since he was busy. So she just stayed on the school grounds, sure it got boring but she was so used to it, nothing could be worse in her opinion.
"Do you go home?" she asked.

“Year round?’ He asked baffled by her reply. “What do you do during the holidays?” He at least had someone to go to while he was off, even if it wasn’t to home. He had friends back at his foster moms and could go out and do things. “Are there many other kids that do that too?” He almost wondered if he should do that... no. Well maybe. He didn’t know, he was confused on what he wanted. Klaus didn’t know if he was being rude by asking so many questions, he kind of just said what came to mind when he was relaxed.

"I run the hallways, play jokes on teachers, and set up pranks around the school for students when they come back," she replies.
She clearly had found ways to keep herself occupied when she was alone, plus if she had to wash the floors pouring soup and water made it really slippery and fun to slide on.
"I haven't seen any," she says, getting out of her head, school had just started and she was already thinking about the break.

“Run the hallways, that sounds fun..” Honestly he’d never done that in a school before, though he had done other things. “So when you say you play pranks, what does that look like? What kind of pranks? I just had a summer of mowing lawns and getting lectured daily, as well as boring letters from dear old mom telling me to stay in line, forgive me.” He’d had the most boring summer of his life. He didn’t plan on repeating it, Klaus was going to have a great school year, full of activities and maybe a girlfriend? He wasn’t so sure yet.

"Mostly just using buckets and water, over doorways," she replies.
Kataera had messed up a few times by forgetting which door, and getting herself wet, it hadn't been the plan the two times it had happened but she hadn't forgotten where the buckets were the next time.
"Yeah, I used to do chores around the camp I stayed at till I came here I think I was 13 for my first year," she said.
Her respect for Klaus was decent at this point, he seemed like decent person and wasn't being rude, which apparently had been a problem for a few girls at the school.

(Klaus has some issues, but he’s all in all not a bad person)

“Sounds fun, maybe we can prank some kids sometime,” He shrugged. Wow it sounded like she hadn’t had an easy life so far, he felt bad. “Well if you need a place to go for the summer you could come to my foster moms summer house? There’s plenty of beds and stuff and she won’t make you work, she makes me work because she said its good for my character or whatever, she’d probably even give you an allowance to be honest.” Klaus knew she would, she was a good person, even if he did give her a little hell now and then.

"I can show you the door everyone walks through," she tells him on the topic of pranks. "Oh I didn't mind working, it came with its perks, I knew were the soap was so I could put it in this one jerks lunch," she said, quite proud of herself.
Kataera didn't always enjoy her time at the camp, but it did get her name out for her team winning a game because of her. She had to admit it had been fun, but she was older and camp wasn't as fun because she didn't have the freedoms of the child.

“Yeah that’d be cool,” Klaus finally sat down, feeling comfortable, he leaned back so that his elbows were on the grass and he could look up at her comfortably. “Well I’m just offering, if you want to go somewhere besides here, I have a place.” He shrugged, it wasn’t a big deal to him, he’d enjoy the company as a matter of fact. “Do you think school is going to be hectic tomorrow?”

Kataera lowered herself lower, she didn't want to stand over him, since from what she knew people didn't like others standing over them.
"Maybe, I'll ask grandfather Chiron," she said.
Her lower half rested on the ground similar to the way a laying lioness would rest, and she lay on her back her head turned to look at him with amber eyes.
"Probably, what year are you?" she asked, wanting to know if they were in the same class.

“I’m year 4, yeah you should ask permission. I think it would be cool,” Klaus felt like he’d gotten to know Kataera more than anyone he’d met on campus in the past year. It was amazing when chemistry just seemed to happen. “What are your plans for the rest of the day?” He asked with genuine interest.

"I think I will," she replied with a sharp toothed smile.
Kataera did think that Klaus was a decent person, he wasn't pushy and he seemed very open to talking and just hanging out.
"I don't know, how about you? what are your plans?" she asked in return.

Klaus picked a blade of grass from the ground and fiddled with it as he spoke to Kataera, “Nothing. Maybe find my way to my dorm? That should probably be a priority at some point. I have to check in with my roommates. But besides that I’m free. I might check out some of the amenities of the school, see what there is to do besides go to class.”

"Oh, so you have two as well?" she asked.
Kataera knew that not many students shared dorm rooms with more then one other person, but she did with two other girls. Both were equally as nice so she didn't mind at all.

“Yeah, not sure who they are yet though. I haven’t been able to find my dorm... I accidentally walked in on a the girls dorm. Complete accident, but a girl gave me directions to here, so yeah here I am. I’m not all that upset about being lost at the moment though,” he gave her a charming smile.

"Oh yeah, maybe don't do that," she said with a laugh.
She knew from the past girls didn't like the boys in their space, she was one of them and probably would have done the same if she didn't know Klaus.
"Glad she gave you directions I guess," she replied, sticking out her tongue jokingly at him, understanding what he was hinting at.

“Yeah it was purely accidental. I felt really bad afterwards, but those girls were going at it, I interrupted a fight of some sort,” Klaus looked like he felt bad for the girls, “Hope they worked out their problems. Maybe we can hang out later?” He switched topics pretty quickly. Klaus wasn’t the type to just beat around the bush.

"Takes girls longer to figure our their stuff with each other, but they'll be fine I'm sure," she replied.
She realized this and shrugged as she lay on the grass,
"Sure, why not?" she says.

“Okay, well I’m going to go find my dorm. I’ll catch ya later? Thanks for hanging out with me and putting up with me. I really liked that we met,” Klaus gave her a slight wave as he stood up and went towards the doors. Wow she was different, really nice. Maybe one day we could go on a date or something. Of course that means actually asking her, I’ll have to work on that. Maybe after we hang out a few times I’ll ask her. I don’t want to just go into a relationship without getting to know her better first... These were Klaus’ thoughts as he went back inside the building to find his dorm.

Leena wrote: Klaus took Kataera's hand led her out of the room, they walked down the hall, which was almost as crowded as the dorm itself. It was like the dorm was spilling out into the hallway. "Wow, I didn't realize so many people would show up," He admitted and headed towards the terrace where they would have more privacy, and perhaps could get some fresh air. He had a feeling that Kataera was more uncomfortable than she was letting on, but he wasn't about to push her on the subject.

Kataera let him take her hand and led her down the hallways,
"Yeah, me neither," she says.
She'd only seen so many people in such a small place a few times and realized that this was for sure not her type of gathering. She preferred a smaller gathering, it was calmer in her opinion. Once they were on the terrace she took a calming breath, it was more open and far less stuffy, the air wasn't heavy either which helped. Kataera was visible more relaxed even if she was with someone she was starting to find kindling feelings for.

Kataera seemed to be okay once they got outside, her shoulders were no longer bunched up around her ears, and she just seemed to feel better. "Okay we can breathe out here," He said with a smile. "That place was a bit much, huh?" He would make it up to Cole later, him not being at the party much. Maybe they could go out sometime and have fun at someone else's party. Klaus sat down, comfortable with Kataera at this point, he leaned back on his hands to gaze up at her.

"Much better," she agreed, "I think it was, sorry if you wanted to stay," Kataera apologized.
She joined him on the grass, laying down so her lower half was on its side and her upper half was turned to the sky. She sighed and looked up, it was dark out and the moon was bright. The sky clear with no clouds so you could see the stars, she remembered this at camp and had to smile.

"I think it was best that we got outta there," Klaus admitted, he looked up at the sky with her, there were stars in sky, he was a bit awed at the sky. The stars were bright, and the moon was hanging low in the sky. "How is it that the night sky can seem so magical?" He asked her quietly, he wasn't exactly into the who astronomy thing, but he could kick it outside and watch the night sky with the best of them.

She nodded, enjoying the quiet and chirping of crickets that came to her ears. Kataera had always been more of an outdoor person, finding it more at home than indoors.
"Just the way nature is," she replied.
Kataera wasn't into astronomy either, but the joy of being outside, and with Klaus made her tail flop happily to either side.

"You're an interesting person Kataera, tell me more about you," Klaus requested gently, he wasn't trying to impose, but he wanted to know more about her. People were always more interesting than you thought them to be, especially when they were relaxed and more likely to let out some secrets that they wouldn't normally. Klaus was open to any questions she might have of him.

"Thanks, is that a compliment?" she asked, jokingly.
She was a bit curious why he'd asked, but she decided to see what he wanted to know about her since she had no idea where to start.
"What do you want to know?" she asked, finally.
Kataera turned her head to look at him, on the grass her long hair was spread around her head and getting grass caught in it. Her air was incredibly thick and she had lots of it, Chiron had once had someone braid it for her to keep it at bay, when she was younger.

"I dunno, how about your favorite color? Least favorite memory? Best memory? Favorite place to eat? Favorite soda? Tell me all of it, I want to know everything Kataera. You're my favorite person at the moment, I want to learn all that I can about you," Klaus gave her a small smile, trying to encourage her to share a bit about herself. HE would share too, if she wanted him to, it wasn't like he was some oyster that wouldn't open up. He had every intention of giving as much as he got, Klaus was all about fairness.

"Alright well, I guess I really like orange, it's such a bright colour," "I guess my least favourite memory would be when someone at camp pulled my tail thinking it was funny and everyone else started to join in," "Then my favourite memory..." she thought for a moment, "Wining capture the flag and finding how fast I really could run." She said, she smiled, glad that she was able to share these things with someone. "I don't have a favourite place to eat, frankly, someone like me in public isn't very discreet, and I don't exactly like soda," she says.
Once she finished she considered questions she could ask him, and also made sure they weren't things that would push boundaries.
"So how about you?" "What are your hobbies? Favourite foods perhaps? How do you view the world, like a cup half full or empty? What is your favourite season?" she asked.

Klaus listened as she explained a bit about herself, it was nice getting to know her better. Learning things that maybe other people didn't know, he grinned when she spoke of how fast she could run, he could tell it meant a lot to her. The smile faltered a bit when she said she didn't have a place to eat because she stood out, so what if she stood out? Did people, friends, not stick up for her? Klaus was going to rectify that real quick. He was already thinking of an Italian place he could take her, they had outdoor seating, so they would be comfortable out there, and if anyone said a word to her or about her, well Klaus would knock them silly.

"Me? Umm... well I like to ride motorcycles, that's one of my favorite hobbies. Maybe you could run and I could ride side by side sometime? My favorite foods, probably Korean red bean buns, I know that sounds weird, but they're really good. I don't know how I view the world just yet. I figure I still have time for all that, since I'm still just a kid. My favorite season? Probably winter, its nice to be able to add layers, summers too hot, Fall is okay, and Spring is alright. But Winter has snow, hot chocolate, warm fires. I think its definitely my favorite."

"That sounds like a great idea," she says.
She thought it was a good chance for both of them to do something they liked, Kataera being able to run and Klaus motorcycles.
"So what are they, Korean red beans buns?" "I hope I said that right," she shifted on the grass so her human stomach was on the ground and she was resting her head on her arms.
She nodded along as he spoke, hearing these things, sort of made her like him more. He was so sweet, and really just a nice guy overall.

So she liked the idea of them riding/running together? Good to know, he’d plan that date soon. “Korean red bean buns are these ultra soft buns, that have red bean paste in them, they’re served hot and taste amazing, my mouths watering just thinking about em,” Klaus watched as she rearranged, there was so much to her that was unusual, and he liked every bit. “You’re cute, you know that?” He complimented her with a smile, “Just pointing out the facts,” He shrugged as if this was something that everyone should know, she was cute. She was actually full out beautiful, but he thought it was too soon to be saying all that. “We should order some of the buns online, they’ll be frozen when they come and we can steam them.”

She listened intently as he explained what they were, she agreed that they sounded good, for once she didn't just have an interest in meat products.
"They sound amazing," she said, and forced her face to remain the same colour, "I didn't but thanks," she replies. "Your pretty nice yourself," she states.
She nodded at the idea of trying this food, it sounded amazing,
"I'd love to try it," she says.

“Yeah I can order some, maybe I’ll order other Korean snacks? And some meats? That way you can try those too,” Klaus picked a few blades of grass and fidgeted with them as he looked at Kataera. “What’s your favorite holiday?” He asked her, he wanted to keep the conversation going, though they could have easily gone to bed, it was plenty late enough. But he wasn’t ready to leave just yet. He wanted to spend more time with her, as long as she was willing to spend time with him as well.

Kataera was beaming, this was exciting for her, she had never tried many different foods.
"Well, I think... I don't have one," she said, Kataera continued to smile.
She had missed out on many things, and she probably if she had still been with her parents taken part in holidays very different compared to those of humans.

“Hmm, we’ll definitely have to make sure you get to celebrate every holiday we can think of while we’re here, and then you can pick. I like Halloween because you get to dress up and be someone totally different for a night,” Klaus tried to think of some more questions for her, “What about flowers? Do you have a favorite? Do you prefer savory meats or sweet?” He knew of a really good Hawaiian bulgogi , it was a sweet almost thin steak that was amazing. Klaus put that on his mental list of things he was going to get for her to try.

Kataera listened, Halloween sounded really interesting to her, yet she also liked being herself, so she decided she'd give it a try when the holiday comes around.
"I like lilacs," "Very calming," she notes.
Kataera didn't seem like a person that liked to be really calm, but she enjoyed laying in the sun and being lazy at times.
"I guess I've only tried savoury, but sweet sounds really interesting," "Do you have a preference?" she asked also curious if he did.

“Lilacs,” He stuffed that into his mind to chew on later, maybe he’d bring her flowers next time. She asked about the sweet meat, “I’m going to get you some when I order the buns. They have a Hawaiian meat that’s to die for,” Klaus was kind of wishing they had food right then, as much as they were talking about it. “Do you like it when it rains? Or when its sunny?”
