Just saw that N.K. Jemisin's Broken Earth trilogy is being adapted for the screen.

And Aubrey, I think it very cool that Sir Gawain and the Green Knight will soon be coming to the big screen.
The adaptation is in the 21st Century, so it's all good Aubrey!
I feel the same way, Linda, about Jemison. (Winslow is still on my TBR list but it sounds like his work would adapt very well to film.)

The Jemisin is definitely at the top of my list.
I'm also very stoked about 3 series adaptations of Octavia Butler novels. Kindred has a pilot coming out on FX. Wild Seed is being developed for Amazon, produced by Viola Davis and Julius Tennon's production company and co-written by Nnedi Okorafor. And Dawn is coming to Amazon, directed by Ava Duvernay.
Another one I'm really excited about is an adaptation of my number one "really fantastic book that no one else seems to have read" The Power of the Dog (by Thomas Savage, not the one by Don Winslow). It's being directed by Jane Campion, whom I love, and has Benedict Cumberbatch, Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst, who are all among the greatest actors of our time. (So other people have apparently read it.)
Finally, cautiously optimistic about the series based on Asimov's Foundation.

And thanks for the tip about the Western. I've added to my Audible westerns. I just loaded up on audio books by Wallace Stegner and The Power of the dog sounds like it will fit in nicely.

This could be amazing. The books certainly are.

I think you will love it. I'm also a Stegner fan, so that bodes well.

I loved The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay and had heard that the Coen Brothers picked it up, but that must have been 10+ years ago. Thought that would make a great movie or series.
One of my favorite book adaptations of a play was David James Duncan's The Brothers K - that might make a great series also.
Ben Myer’s The Gallows Pole is being adapted to a TV series. I was pretty blown away by this book—lyrical prose offset by testosterone-laden brutality.
How could I forget the Butler renaissance included film projects?!!!
